Rosicky, Drogba, Malbranque, Adebayor.... I'm sure I've forgot some other "big" names from the early noughties.

Moyes is an excellent appointment IMO.

Would this be the perfect opportunity for a pre-WorldNet run out of Mr Crab Lungs Esq.... Hmmmm -
After hearing both Sunderland and Wigan's little musical ditties, I thought to myself if there is actually a suitable song with which the players can run out to and get the crowd involved? Don't get me wrong - I don't want it to be cheesy, nor am I advocating music at key points in football matches (after goals, grrrrrr) but there must be something out there that could get the whole crowd jumping? I don't know if it'll have quite the same effect over here but when I was at a Roma game recently, their pre-match song was absolutely belting (with the last bit sung by the fans, truly spine-tingling). So, if you could suggest any song for Saints to run out to, what would it be?* * Just not the Woolston Ferry song, ffs.

That's your problem. You always think you're right. -
I'm flitting between anxious, wet willy and composed and cocksure...

I'd tend to agree with that. I don't know why I feel more nervous... we've been in more perilous situations before and it's not bothered me. I wonder if it's because we've felt relegation before and because it saw a huge, downward spiral in our fortunes - coupled with the fact it's bloody hard to get out of the Championship anyway, I don't know. Could it be the importance of consolidating in the Prem and picking up that huge increase in money next year? Or maybe it's because we've actually been quite good this year (better than a lot of the rubbish down there) but we've let ourselves down at such important times (losing leads etc) that it'll feel a huge injustice to go down on the last day? Gah, I don't know. Right now, I'm scared. Tuesday, if things go bady, I'll be terrified. C'mon, someone's bound to tell me to pull myself together.... -
That's right. One minute I'm worried about the situation, the next minute I'm telling myself that it's fine, we're OK and we've come out of far worse scrapes than this before. In fact, I'm chastising myself for even thinking that we'll go through the trap door, having held it together and lived through many "great escapes" whilst we were at The Dell. My question is... how are you feeling? I understand there's plenty of threads on the permutations and possibilities but how's your nerves holding up? Are you bothered, confident, worried? At the moment, I can't make up my mind what I am, but I'll be a whole lot more worried if Wigan beat Swansea on Tuesday. So, yeah... how's you?

Oh, so we're £42m in debt. Oh right. Sure.

WTF. That post is exactly why UKIP, for all it's good intents and purposes, will fail.

Tottenham 1-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction

As I said after the Everton game, we've definitely lost an incisiveness since Adkins has gone but arguably, we're most robust. Hmmmmm, not sure what I prefer... a tendency to ship goals but score more or the opposite... -
He's no Carl Jenkinson or Glen Johnson, said Woy.

Haha, love this... nice one Saints fans

This is what happens when you don't take your chances. A draw would have been a more than fair result but I said to my friend that we'd be beaten by a late-minute goal today. Spurs actually aren't that greater side. They're like Man City, some great individual players but have a manager who tactically doesn't know how to get the best out of his side and just hopes for the best a lot of the time, relying on individual brilliance to carry them through. Saints, on the other hand, look like a "team". The problem is though, being a "team" doesn't get you any extra points. That said, I much prefer our structured way of play to any of those above, despite them having greater pools of individual talent. It's getting a bit squeaky now and if Wigan win on Tuesday, it'll really pile the pressure on. After doing the predictor, I've got us safe on 41 points in 11th (sharing the same points total as four other teams) with the relegated team, Norwich, on 39. It'll go to the last day, I'm sure. C'mon Saints, hold your nerve.... -
Cheers. There was no definition of that on the predictor, so I was stumped! It'll be down to the last day though, I bloody know it. We'll need a point, I know it. I can see teams changing places in the league as the day unfolds so it should be quite exciting. Still, if Wigan and Villa are below us come the last day, we're safe, right? (that was the hypothesis of Paul Chuckle, who is far better at maths than me).
-
It'll be between 6-7 teams on the final day I reckon, but we squeak home in a comfortable 11th/12th but with just two points difference between us and 18th. Done the predictor and had Norwich going down (draw at WBA, loss at City) with Newcastle staying up - despite having the same goal difference (not sure how it's worked out after goal difference, is it head-to-head?)
-
Bloody hell, are we really moaning about Bale not showing us "respect"? Someone put it perfectly above, check the context; 1. Spurs remain in CL contention 2. Great goal 3. Late strike in the game, so euphoric in a sense Spurs pay his wages, not us. We were bloody unfortunate not to get a draw today but expecting Bale to "dumb down" his celebration is mental. Just how sensitive are we?!?!?

Ivan Ramis, Ben Watson and Steven Reid. WT actual F.

If you've ever seen Dodd's Eastleigh team, you'd know why we're underperforming...
