Oh, and one other final one... they're currently (well, will be) doing a new hospitality section for the Kingsland, or something like that? Anyway, more "plush" seats I think!

RIP Teddy. Best wishes, Chaplow family

Absolutely top dollar mole! No reason to bullsh1t.

I can't be bothered to type everything up now but here's a few interesting snippets from a conversation I had earlier. * Cortese wants Europe within 2 seasons * He's going to splash to cash both on and off the field * Firstly, expect a couple of big signings (don't know when, but he's going to really go for it) * £1m will be spent on revamping the corporate/media side of things to be aligned with European football, for example, the ground must have 40 different camera angles for European matches (I don't know the rules/regs on this, but that's what I was told) * If we qualify for Europe the stadium will be expanded, with an additional tier added to the Kingsland. I'm sure there was more I was told but I can't remember all of it right now. Enjoy, take the p1ss, do what you want with it!

End of Season Review: 14th Place - 41 points

Well, I'd disagree as I wasn't referencing that particular point about where we'd finish but yes, we could have done so... but we didn't. There's a lot of people on here who swing wildly from one emotion/opinion to the other with little or no balance at all - the whole Cortese/Liebherr thing is demonstrative of that. Everything is rosy, then it's a crisis, then it's rosy, then it's a crisis. We've got CL quality players, then we've got L1 players, we need to spend, we don't need to spend, we should expand the stadium to 50,000... yes, a forum is about opinions but bloody hell there's a lot of shiiiite on here. Can't see too much wrong with what Turkish has said - he's just called the people out who made the silly statements. -

As I just posted elsewhere; For all our "brilliance", we could only draw with Stoke twice this year. Same goes for many of our so-called lesser opponents. And this is the problem, we can dominate possession and kill opponents with corners and intricate attacking moves but unless something comes of it then it's all absolutely worthless in the end. I've no doubt we've got the more technically gifted players than Stoke (and a considerable amount of other sides in the top division) but unless we somehow find a cutting edge (possibly through player acquisition(s) or better coaching) then we'll struggle to go any higher than 10th. You can bloody well count Champions League out, that's for sure. Here's hoping it's addressed this summer. Well done Saints on 14th, let's not stand still now. Go find us a Michu! -
Are Stoke the ugliest 'football' team in the Premier?

Adkins knew how to coach his side to attack, pattern play etc - Pochettino's style has massively regressed our attacking ability. How many clear cut chances have Saints created since the Reading game?
-
Benatia is an absolute beast - he'd easily turn a couple of those draws and defeats into wins/draws. He can be bullied in the air a bit sometimes but on the ground he's top dog, not a lot gets past him.
-
A great point and it'd be lovely to see but there is one overriding factor in football that will ensure that doesn't happen: Greed.

Is she the fitteh from the Ajax game?

Would you sell Shaw if the other team loaned him back for a season?
Crab Lungs replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
No, as they'll be getting a massively better deal. We have to continue to develop a player that is not ours and in the meantime, what we sold him for looks like a bargain as he comes on leaps and bounds ala Gareth Bale. Of course, it could go the other way and he could actually get worse but I don't think that's going to happen. Keep him, hold out for the big(ger!) fee 2 years down the line if we're not matching his ambitions and he wants to go.... -

Watched it, it was emotional. What a guy.

The how much will we spend in the summer thread
Crab Lungs replied to Avenue Saint's topic in The Saints
One big marquee signing, 3-4 smaller fee signings. Total? £27m...ish -
Does anyone else get really p1ssed off with their myths, as opposed to laughing at them? I'm sick of reading them. Nazi tank driver, nazi gold money, thinking they're biggest club in the south, that they didn't cheat, that they've been hard done by, that their away following (and home support) are really something special, that we're laden with massive, crippling debt... f()ck, I hate reading their rubbish, it's annoying. Worse still, if you so much as dare to challenge them then they spin out another myth (or better still, profanity-laden retort) that absolutely holds no truth other than whatever goes through their imbecilic, backward skulls. They should have died. I can only hope the PDT gives us some more laughs.

Bloody hell.... there's some 'kin terrible kits coming out :-o

To be fair, he has a point.
-
You're never wrong, are you?
-
Aren't you a skate? Christ, why are you panicking so much? And why, ever since you've been on here, have you always criticised everyone who has been on the board/chairman? Just wondering... you're not the FotB type, are you? :-o I don't want them to go, it'll be massively destabilising and Cortese is the main reason why we've just re-signed most, if not all of our most important assets.
-
Came through at a time when the media were trumpeting all the UK's new wave tika-taka geniuses; Ramsey, Henderson, Rodwell etc. As usual, it turns out they're the usual b0ll0cks, one-paced, doesn't score, barely tackles, can't pass, can't create midfielders that seem so popular with clubs these days.

Scholes was absolutely exceptional in his prime and even in his advancing years, his fleeting appearances oozed class (but perhaps not always the goals, which is understandable). Though we're talking about England, a nation which gave 70 odd caps to Heskey. Dreadful, and that about shows us for what we are as a national team.

No f()cking way. Remember him always being linked with us in the 90's. Just.... no. Especially if you remember his Forest team.
