  1. As I said after the Everton game, we've definitely lost an incisiveness since Adkins has gone but arguably, we're most robust. Hmmmmm, not sure what I prefer... a tendency to ship goals but score more or the opposite...
  2. He's no Carl Jenkinson or Glen Johnson, said Woy.
  3. Haha, love this... nice one Saints fans
  4. Indian women.... oioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioioi
  5. This is what happens when you don't take your chances. A draw would have been a more than fair result but I said to my friend that we'd be beaten by a late-minute goal today. Spurs actually aren't that greater side. They're like Man City, some great individual players but have a manager who tactically doesn't know how to get the best out of his side and just hopes for the best a lot of the time, relying on individual brilliance to carry them through. Saints, on the other hand, look like a "team". The problem is though, being a "team" doesn't get you any extra points. That said, I much prefer our structured way of play to any of those above, despite them having greater pools of individual talent. It's getting a bit squeaky now and if Wigan win on Tuesday, it'll really pile the pressure on. After doing the predictor, I've got us safe on 41 points in 11th (sharing the same points total as four other teams) with the relegated team, Norwich, on 39. It'll go to the last day, I'm sure. C'mon Saints, hold your nerve....
  6. Cheers. There was no definition of that on the predictor, so I was stumped! It'll be down to the last day though, I bloody know it. We'll need a point, I know it. I can see teams changing places in the league as the day unfolds so it should be quite exciting. Still, if Wigan and Villa are below us come the last day, we're safe, right? (that was the hypothesis of Paul Chuckle, who is far better at maths than me).
  7. It'll be between 6-7 teams on the final day I reckon, but we squeak home in a comfortable 11th/12th but with just two points difference between us and 18th. Done the predictor and had Norwich going down (draw at WBA, loss at City) with Newcastle staying up - despite having the same goal difference (not sure how it's worked out after goal difference, is it head-to-head?)
  8. Bloody hell, are we really moaning about Bale not showing us "respect"? Someone put it perfectly above, check the context; 1. Spurs remain in CL contention 2. Great goal 3. Late strike in the game, so euphoric in a sense Spurs pay his wages, not us. We were bloody unfortunate not to get a draw today but expecting Bale to "dumb down" his celebration is mental. Just how sensitive are we?!?!?
  9. Ivan Ramis, Ben Watson and Steven Reid. WT actual F.
  10. If you've ever seen Dodd's Eastleigh team, you'd know why we're underperforming...
  11. Christ, watched it again out of morbid fascination... still chills me
  12. Was just about to sell him a kitchen! Well, I assume it's for him. Naughty Aaron.
  13. If the skates got the "opportunity" of another dodgy investor with money, it'll divide the fanbase big time. They couldn't give a rat's ballsack how they get success, just that they get it by any means possible. It'll be interesting to see if someone does appear on the horizon and when they do, will the bestest fans in the world be able to resist the lure of filthy, dirty lucre? I think not. History will repeat itself, just as rallyboy said above.
  14. Yes, massive credit to Paul Chuckle for digging this one up
  15. Should have sold him to Wolves for £500,000 IMO when we had the chance.
  16. Any bets on Skateknapp returning to his spiritual home before the end of 2013?
  17. Bloody hell, I hope not.
  18. Never, ever lock this thread!
  19. I totally agree with that, btw (see my comments about Hooiveld after the Villa away game) but I still reckon we're way too quick to go from "good player" to "not good enough ffs"...
  20. I'll clarify - not just today, but over the season; Ramirez, he's the latest one to cop a load of flak recently. Despite being an immensely talented footballer, he's been a bit underwhelming yet instead of backing him, we throw the towel in because he's not been Messi-like in his first season. Nah, let's run him down instead. That'll work. Fox, see today and almost every game he's played, rightly or wrongly. Hooiveld, probably 2/3's of games has been questioned, rightly or wrongly. (S) Davis at the beginning of the season. He's now won favour, but I'm sure if his form dipped he'll be mentioned again. Fonte wasn't good enough earlier this year - now he is as Hooiveld's now not good enough. Forren's been a waste of money apparently. So has Mayuka. Yoshida was another who got a lot of stick earlier in the season, now he's deemed OK. No doubt if we take another smashing next weekend his ability will be questioned - despite, like Hooiveld, being a fairly solid performer. Boruc wasn't good enough/too fat/mental/old and would be a liability. Rodriguez wasn't good enough either for a while. Now he has England potential. I'm sure I've missed some but the truth of the matter is that pretty much all of those players above have contributed massively to our rise towards midtable.
  21. LOL, first drubbing in months and everyone in the team isn't good enough. If Fonte had played, he wouldn't have been good enough. If Forren had played, he'd have been a waste of money. Sure, Fox was dogsh1t today, I agree. But Hooiveld, for all his limitations, hasn't been that bad - well, he can't have been, he's predominantly featured in three of the most important wins of the season - and I don't think he's any great shakes, too. Now I'm reading player after player after player needs to be shipped out, just because of this bad day. Christ, what fickle fans we've become. Didn't take long, did it.
  22. What an utterly disgraceful performance.
