  1. Still not very well then.
  2. Yeah, that's the word I was looking for... voluntarily! "Yeah, but it's the faaaaackin scummahs soiling our good name again, they don't know tha facts! ad infinitum...
  3. Yeah, that's what I thought... I think that'll be the next riposte, that it was enforced. If they had it their way, they'd continue spunking it with complete disregard for anyone else, that's exactly what history has shown us.
  4. According to one of the Skates on that Sheff U blog, they've paid back £24m to various creditors :-/ Must have missed that one
  5. This.
  6. Unfortunately, unless he plays a couple of blinders immediately, I think they'll be on his back irrespective.
  7. Poor girl... copping sh1t from the best fans in the world TM
  8. That is absolutely superb.
  9. About 5 seasons more evidence.
  10. Blimey... it's unbelievable.

  12. Haha, likewise. Wish I'd stuck a tenner on the accy now, not just a quid!
  13. Yeah, just seen that! Now I'm wondering whether Norwich will enact a bit of karma on their former manager and end up relegating them/him...
  14. This.
  15. Agreed. In comparison to the likes of Villa, QPR and Reading we're definitely not as bad as them, I'm really quite confident when I say that. However, until we get the points to overhaul Villa and cut adrift Reading, QPR I'll remain a bit twitchy. I just look at some of those games and think "I bet they underservedly screw us over there" - for example, Villa (a), QPR (h), Reading (a). Y'know, it'll be those kind of games where we dominate but get beaten. Gah, I really don't want us to be "brave losers"!
  16. Hey Pilchards... FWIW, I don't think it'll be 40 points, but I plucked that figure as I think it'll guarantee safety. I think it might even be as low as 32-35... I just hope if that's the case, we've got another 18-20 points in us
  17. Rooney's ****. He smokes.
  18. We've all got differing opinions on how many points we need but let's say for arguments sake its 40 points... How many do you think we're going to get from the remaining games? Of course, this is all injury/transfers dependent for not just us but all clubs, but here's our fixtures; Aston Villa v Southampton Sat 12 Jan 15:00 Southampton v Everton Mon 21 Jan 20:00 Man Utd v Southampton Wed 30 Jan 20:00 Wigan v Southampton Sat 2 Feb 15:00 Southampton v Man City Sat 9 Feb 17:30 Newcastle v Southampton Sat 23 Feb 15:00 Southampton v QPR Sat 2 Mar 15:00 Norwich v Southampton Sat 9 Mar 15:00 Southampton v Liverpool Sat 16 Mar 15:00 Southampton v Chelsea Sat 30 Mar 15:00 Reading v Southampton Sat 6 Apr 15:00 Southampton v West Ham Sat 13 Apr 15:00 Swansea v Southampton Sat 20 Apr 15:00 Southampton v West Brom Sat 27 Apr 15:00 Tottenham v Southampton Sat 4 May 15:00 Sunderland v Southampton Sun 12 May 15:00 Southampton v Stoke Sun 19 May 16:00 By the looks of things, it appears we're going to have to beat a couple of the teams around us, not to mention picking up some points against some of the top teams. Our home fixtures don't look cut 'n' dried either, and we're going to need at least another 4-5 wins from them to stand a chance. That, I suspect, another 1-2 wins away too. Looking at it, it's daunting but remembering previous seasons in the PL, it can be done if we can evoke that "spirit" again with the current group of players who, I believe, do have a bit of balls about them despite some notable capitulations leading to dropping points. One further point... has anyone had a look at the other teams run-in's and seen if they've got a harder/easier ride than us?
  19. That's about 7-8 for the season Sounds like he makes quite a few "uncharacteristic errors" like Reina, Schwarzer etc... yet they still have an amazing reputation. He'll probably be a half-decent Ben Foster clone eventually
  20. Robert Mugabe. He's been walking a tightrope for a long time now.
  21. In which case we stand no chance of attracting players if you throw Leyton Orient, Brentford and Dagenham into the mix.
  22. Naaaaaah, it's Pompeeee innit, they'll be alwight
  23. OH, just wanted to add another >>>>>> while I'm still on here
  24. Ah yes, the bravery-in-the-face-of-adversity backing a la Arsenal at home. Criiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinge
  25. Can't choose between Cork, Yoshi and Schneiderlin. The rest of the team were good also, and an honourable mention for Steve Davis - probably his best game in a Saints shirt so far.
