Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, stop it, stop it! You have to be, without doubt, on a level par with Corp for delusional episodes. Why you are so proud of a Cup win that was funded by stealing, defaulting and cheating is beyond me and most decent people but then again, you're a Portsmouth fan and that doesn't apply. The truth is, even if you did sell out every Wembley visit (you didn't, but we'll let you have that one), you did it be bankrupting yourself and businesses, fleecing the people of the UK and of course - what you must be so eternally proud of - children's charities. The only striker out of the plethora we've been linked with who'd offer a different option is in my opinion, Nicky Maynard. Additionally, he's done his apprenticeship at Champ level moreso than the others. I have to say though, if we're top come December it'd be nice to bring in 2-3 more players for the final push - players who won't need too much bedding in and whom will give us that extra depth for the remainder of the season. Though these players MUST have the scope to be able to step up to the Premier League. Maynard, once again, comes to mind. Though I like Sordell, I think he's a good year or two from being able to step up to the Premier League whilst Maynard seems to have the attributes to make the step up already. Aside from upfront, I'd like to see Jos and another CB signed and a possible Lambert alternative. Beatt's is the man for that job, and it'd be ideal if we can get him in before we play the DFSCB's - better so if it's a 6 month contract so that it if he's not up to scratch, he can be let go but equally if he is, he has the opportunity to earn himself a longer deal. If Beatt's isn't available, might be worth a short-term offer to Marlon Harewood, who is now plying his trade in China. Once again, a 6 month deal would be an ideal option for both parties.
