Another ridiculous comment made from the bastions of football government in this country. Still, at least they're not as stupid as the world governing body...
-
Are we counting a few seconds at the end of a meaningless fixture as "experience" though?
-
Unbelievable! £25k a week David Norris?
-
Believe me, I'm one of the very few who often defend Lowe so I wouldn't say I'm being unduly harsh on him. Irrespective, without the cash, Redknapp was 1-2 small (but ultimately game changing) factors away from keeping us up pretty comfortably.

I'm with adriansfc on this one... And I'm certainly not one for bias. Lallana is a better player than many in that squad, without doubt... anyone who saw Bale when he first came through should be able to recognise a PL quality player - and Lallana is one of those. He'll go on to have a far, far more distinguished career than many of the players named and probably all of those mentioned by adriansfc.

Bizarrely enough, without any prompting from this thread, I dreamt Pompey incurred a 3 point deduction before next season. Probably not complete justice, but it's a start... We're coming for yoooooooooooooooooooooooou..................

So that'd be Bridge, Harding, Dickson, Mills, Reeves and Shaw... why on earth would we need another left back? And with that, an expensive one? Whilst I do subscribe that some players do perform better at some clubs, Bridge is completely damaged now and on his way down at a rapid rate. Man City will be delighted if they can fob him off to someone else in the summer.

That's one thing that bothers me - no-one ever mentions Heysel? But that aside, I'm still struggling to see what Itandje was completely vilified for? I really don't think he was disrespecting the dead, just mocking the song, but reading some of their comments make me wonder if he's also the mastermind of WWII, al-Qaeda etc :-/

This is absolutely spot on.

Due to so many marginal incidents (late goals in abundance), we were relegated. A goal or two swing either way and we'd have been comfortably above the relegation places that season and Harry wouldn't be as vilified as he is on here. I too believe he did like us but was probably not allowed to "manage" in his own style because of Lowe (rightly or wrongly, morally, I'd say rightly so). However, I think if RL had cut him just a little more slack then we might have had 1-2 more players that'd have helped. Ah well, never mind!

Go on then, how many pints? Your estimates, please!

I've always thought he was a nice bloke, even before I read that article. I also don't think he done too badly when he was down here.

Massive credit to the Bournemouth players, incredible character but no sympathy for the Bompey fans, f()ck them. Imagine if that was us, they'd be loving it... in fact, wallowing in it. As for us, I don't want to "gloat" over them, just think "f()ck 'em"

Well, I have to say that I don't really have a solution for myself as I do suffer the same thing, exactly as you described. I am confident that I know what it is though but I'm pretty sure that until I attain what I need to do, I won't be able to sleep to easy, or as naturally as other people. However, I would definitely recommend "Quiet Life" pills, which are herbal, and seem to have done the trick for me if I do take a funny turn and cannot sleep (which is more often than not!).

Haha... George Noory/Coast to Coast AM. And also... must ask... how long exactly have you been afflicted by it? Does it correspond with any pressures that surfaced around that time and are they ongoing?
-
You have no concerns/stresses at all, TDD? Just want to rule that out as well! FWIW, I'm a terrible sleeper. I actually have to listen to a talk radio station until I fall to sleep... Not ideal :-/

You're all mental. I've been saying it for 2-3 years now: Gary Roberts Hopefully some of you've been watching the Hudders/Bmouth match tonight... and will people stop saying Wayne Bridge? He's f()cking ****e now and wouldn't be any better than Dickson/Harding. He's really, really on his way down but he's yet to be jettisoned from the Premier League yet.

One day, they'll have an original idea!

that is 'the' Claus

Awesome! Love his comments Connolly and Gobern next?
-
But I thought Brighton won everything? (thanks for the info, btw)
-
Yeah, that's the only thing that irks me. It's a bowl. Would have love to have had character, but then again, £30m for a 32,000 seater stadium compared to what others paid... incredible!

OK, it's been ages since this happened but I only got around to seeing this footage today: It depicts Liverpool's then 2nd choice goalkeeper Charles Itandje being disrespectful at a memorial service for Hillsborough. I was honestly expecting to see something utterly obvious and shameful judging by the reactions of LFC fans around then but all I can see is Itandje nudging Plessis to the tune of the song (which, however sincere, there were probably many others like Itandje silently taking the **** out of it). I'm not condoning what Charles Itandje did (however bad the music sounded, it was heartfelt) and of course, he was at a memorial service for a tragedy which shouldn't really give anyone much to smile about but other than acting moronically and rather naively, I'm struggling to work out where there was so much anger towards him. He was stupid to do what he did but I don't think for a second he was disrespecting the memories of the 96 who died, just taking the p1ss out of the song. I suppose it depends on how you want to perceive it, I guess...
