http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_slip More here: http://paranormal.about.com/od/timeanddimensiontravel/a/aa012306.htm But of course, the millions of worldwide occurrences can be simply put down to numerous fancy dress days, right Matthew?

No That's a time slip, Matthew.

And has been since he's joined. He can without doubt play in the Premier League (lower-mid table side).

Everyone and everything has a soul, but not everything remains here after it/they have died. I think it's too easy to pigeon-hole the whole phenomena into one category. I think ghosts, or spirits, come in different guises. In some cases, it is a residual imprint on the area that it resides. In others, it's an earthbound spirit. The reasons as to why it remains here is varied. Emotionally charged event? Favourite place when alive? There are many theories and possible reasons. The human eye can only see a very small percentage of what might actually exist. For all we know, there could be overlapping dimensions/multiverses with every single thing that has ever lived existing (or at least their spirit) still walking among us but invisible to us. Then again, there is every chance that not every soul hangs around after death... and even if they do, it doesn't necessarily mean we would be able to sense it.

Apologies, I must have made a sweeping assumption! (not the first time, sadly!)

Ha, and MLG wasn't jumping to conclusions? Anyway, you're a wind-up, so I'm going to leave it there!
-
It's kind of a weird situation as whilst only 2 relegation spots minimises the chances of relegation, it also hinders clubs a chance of returning with only 2 promotion spots. 3 would be about right... anyway, looking at the Conference these days is weird - it's like a mishmash of L1/L2 clubs and regional league clubs :-o

He's a massive pr1ck and has turned the subject into a bit of a joke.
-
You're the smart arse pal, so I think you should start by explaining why you believe the paranormal is far-fetched?
-
Or you could be a pedantic, small-minded bore like yourself who tries to rationalise everything with inane ramblings that only make sense to you. Whilst there is a massive issue with profiteering in the paranormal (Derek fking Acorah, anyone?), you cannot make a sweeping judgement on someone you didn't even know and what talents they may or may not have had. That circumstantial account might not mean anything to you, but I'd like you to try and debunk the millions of extraordinary paranormal experiences that have happened to people over the past week, let alone since records began. Well go on then you dullard, start debunking.

Weird, I was going to post a similar thread about this! I have a few experiences, I will probably post them tomorrow

He'd still struggle. Exactly the same principle - if you're not very good, you're not very good. Wayne Bridge isn't very good any more. He doesn't get forward any more. His positioning is terrible. He's slow and looks constantly nervous. World class midfielder or lower Premier League one, he pretty much comes off second best every time. Why is this conversation still being had, anyway? We've got 3 first team left-backs, 2 promising youth left backs... why we'd want an expensive, over-the-hill one to add to our collection is a f()cking mystery. I'm getting sick of saying the same thing on about 4-5 different threads! Anyway, if you don't want to take my word for it, ask the fans of Chelsea, Fulham, West Ham and Man City and I'm sure they'd oblige...
-
Another ridiculous comment made from the bastions of football government in this country. Still, at least they're not as stupid as the world governing body...
-
Are we counting a few seconds at the end of a meaningless fixture as "experience" though?
-
Unbelievable! £25k a week David Norris?
-
Believe me, I'm one of the very few who often defend Lowe so I wouldn't say I'm being unduly harsh on him. Irrespective, without the cash, Redknapp was 1-2 small (but ultimately game changing) factors away from keeping us up pretty comfortably.

I'm with adriansfc on this one... And I'm certainly not one for bias. Lallana is a better player than many in that squad, without doubt... anyone who saw Bale when he first came through should be able to recognise a PL quality player - and Lallana is one of those. He'll go on to have a far, far more distinguished career than many of the players named and probably all of those mentioned by adriansfc.

Bizarrely enough, without any prompting from this thread, I dreamt Pompey incurred a 3 point deduction before next season. Probably not complete justice, but it's a start... We're coming for yoooooooooooooooooooooooou..................
-
So that'd be Bridge, Harding, Dickson, Mills, Reeves and Shaw... why on earth would we need another left back? And with that, an expensive one? Whilst I do subscribe that some players do perform better at some clubs, Bridge is completely damaged now and on his way down at a rapid rate. Man City will be delighted if they can fob him off to someone else in the summer.

That's one thing that bothers me - no-one ever mentions Heysel? But that aside, I'm still struggling to see what Itandje was completely vilified for? I really don't think he was disrespecting the dead, just mocking the song, but reading some of their comments make me wonder if he's also the mastermind of WWII, al-Qaeda etc :-/

This is absolutely spot on.
