In my personal opinion, we are a couple of places short in the squad that would provide us real depth. I don't know what Moritz Volz is up to these days, but he'd be a sensational right back to have in L1, assuming he would drop down to this level and we can afford him. I'd also compliment Lambert with another striker - maybe someone in the Jon Parkin/Steve Howard/Darius Henderson mould to give big Rickie a rest when he needs one - or someone who would at least attract the attention away from Rickie in games. I don't think having another big, burly centre-forward would do us any harm at all - we're mobile enough as a team to work around Rickie and ANother's deft touches and hold up play to score from anywhere on the pitch. And of course, we've still got the mobility and different blend of Connolly/Waigo/Lallana if need be. Does anyone know what happened to that Plymouth striker we have/had on trial? It's an old saying but I don't believe that any strengthening would upset the side whatsoever - as long as we strengthen in the EXACT places we need to.

Many many a night I spent wishing I could be Ace's doctor. FWIW, my favourite doctors were Pertwee, Baker and my personal no.1 McCoy. I haven't watched much of the new series (kinda grew out of it and was a bit perplexed at the political undertones the BBC peddled out) but I do like Tennent too. For me, the worst was Ecclestone. Absolutely abominable. Anyone know where the hell I can watch some McCoy episodes? Not that I want to fap to Ace.... I just want to watch 'Survivor' and 'Curse of Fenric' again

yes, and we were in the prem nearly 30 years. and we've got a better stadium, training ground etc and we've got a bigger fanbase. and we're not riddled with debt. and we've developed more players than them over the years. and we're in the ascendency and they are quite the opposite...

Jeeeesus, why do we persist with players like Bell who never perform?

Sadly, we do have a couple of dislikeable elements to our fanbase - the unintelligible cackers and a nasty little 'yoooooof' element - but thankfully no more than most clubs. I mean, rather that than the half-full shed of mockneys 17 miles east. I have to say I have reviewed my opinion on Saints fans in recent months, especially since Lowe has gone and the divide is no longer there. Things do seem to be genuinely picking up now

Firstly, this is so funny and I wish it could go on forever - however, at some point they are going to go 'pop' That said, I am concerned about the silence from the Premier League over not only this, but EVERYTHING that has and is happening at Portsmouth... are they just hoping they go down so that the Football League can deal with them?
