A loan wouldn’t be a bad idea. It is, after all, pretty much shit or busy time and we need to give it a real go.

I cannot help but feel every name mentioned above by my fellow posters is a better option than the one we currently have. it’s not NJs fault, it was a great opportunity but the madness of it all is the ownership somehow drew a conclusion that he was the man for the job … when everyone else could see he wasn’t. I don’t believe any of us are not seeing what they can see and it’ll prove some masterstroke somewhere down the line. It won’t. With the atmosphere already as poor as it was, the appointment and subsequent performances have somehow managed to plough the sense of anger and resignation to all new depths… and it’ll be taken on out on NJ eventually. This could get really sour. you can almost guarantee the club won’t act on anything until it’s demonstratively too late. As someone else said, it’ll be an admission of a mistake and if there’s one thing those nerds and weirdos arent accountable for, it’s their own f()cking metrics and statistics.

And a fair chunk of us could all see it. We moved from a club with its finger on the pulse to one that became obsessed with its own self image and how progressive it looked and seemed. Always posturing, always pontificating. that comes from the absolute wet blankets within the club who have unfortunately, multiplied like gremlins as time went on.

Oooops was meant to post this here; As a club, we’ve been far busy virtue signalling, backslapping and congratulating ourselves as we degraded in every aspect as a football club. We’ve somehow created an echo chamber full of mediocre, arrogant and inept staff and players all laced with a staggering amount of delusion as to how good, how important and in control they are of the situation. the truth is we’ve been sliding off this cliff for a while now and with every good player we sell and every capable staff member we lose, another finger loses grip. I’d say we’re pretty much clinging on with a single hand now. I’ve said it for years now… our recruitment is a joke. Bunch of nerds sat around counting KMs and completed passes and somehow, season upon season, managing to make us even worse than the last. Yet… no accountability? I could 100% do a better job. Give me 50k and I’ll give you 5-10 player suggestions per position around the world who could all improve the squad that would fit within our budget and requirements. in fact, there’s plenty of people on here who could outperform these jokers

Yep. It’s all about good recruitment. Don’t need to spend 30m on a player at all. Plenty of great footballers in the Dutch, Belgian, Austrian, Swiss, Czech etc etc leagues that could play comfortably in the PL at a fraction of the cost.

I don’t blame Jones entirely but our players are cr4p, truly awful. He’s on a hiding to nothing with this load of snipey bottlers.

I concur with everything you’ve said. I initially liked McCarthy because in general, he could do the basics right and got a rougher ride with a poorer DF in front of him. Over time, that changed but he was 100% the lesser of the two evils. Forster is lacking in about every single department apart from having a massive frame. Which he doesn’t use because he wimps out of most things.

Yeah I don’t know why people didn’t see that. He was getting less than a shot on target per game at one point, so we literally could have played without a GK. I remember when he went back to Celtic and everyone wet their pants about his ‘return to form’. I worked out he’d concede a goal pretty much every other shot. He was abysmal.

Good to see Hojberg doing his invisible man thing again too. Plenty of shouting and gesticulating and fist pumping to come though I’m sure.

I think that’s been reevaluated by a lot of people now. We’re an ings, romeu and Tadic short of a half decent side I fear.
