  1. Yes, because Adkins would definitely waste one of the five spaces on the bench on a player who he can't play, in order to make him feel better.
  2. How do you know it would just need to be the GK and the guy who scored the OG when you openly admit you haven't even seen the highlights? I have no problem with accepting the possibility of corruption in our game, I'm sure it does go on somewhere, but the example you have constructed is utterly ridiculous.
  3. Don't be ridiculous. Of course they have a chance in the playoffs, that's why everybody hates the playoffs, it's a lottery most of the time. For your conspiracy to work, there would need to be quite a number of Brighton players in on it to pull it off. It simply does not add up that a number of Brighton players would prefer a very small windfall to the possible chance of Premier League football and the riches/bonuses/status/salary rises associated with it. You may feel they have no chance in the playoffs, but the majority of footballers have pretty high self belief, and they will feel that if they get there they can do it.
  4. You are mental, and I would be saying that whoever started the thread. There is no way that Brighton would lose a game on purpose when they are within touching distance of the playoff. No chance.
  5. Rubbish. Knee jerk rubbish.
  6. I love football. It happens nearly every April. There are normal people out here going about their ordinary lives with nothing exciting happening and I'm buzzing as hell. I apologise now to my friends and family for the fact I can't talk about anything else for the next 2 weeks.
  7. Yesterday it was forboding following the defeat. But today, I'm just bloody excited about heading up to Peterborough on Tuesday. Whatever happens it's going to be exciting and that's what it should all be about. It would've been great to have a comfortable gap and nothing to play for, but this tension will provide quite a buzz.
  8. You bloody woman. Did you really just write that?
  9. I was only joking really. Obviously last night was Guly's fault. Great that you're raising money for charity, but this song does represent thehateful complacency that settled into the fanbase regarding our potential promotion. Just don't understand why you couldn't wait two weeks.
  10. I definitely want to move next season. Ultimately your perception of the atmosphere will be largely influenced by the area immediately around you, and those around me are bloody miserable. The majority of those in front and behind me only open their mouths to groan when a pass is misplaced. It's interesting that others found the atmosphere much better where they were. Maybe Itchen North is the way forward, or just try a different area of the Northam (currently towards the back of 41).
  11. Well where do you stand? I will come join you because where I was it was not rocking at all, it was limping.
  12. I take your point, and it's not usually my way to have a go at other fans. But when we tried to get something started with the team 1-1 in a crucial top of the table clash, on the verge of the premiership, at the end of 2 seasons of constant success, and look around to see nobody joining in I just do not understand it.
  13. Nerves? People can't sing when they're nervous? I could understand a 10 year old being so nervous watching Saints that he goes quiet, but grown men? I don't think it's nerves, I just think the majority of our fanbase are miserable bastards.
  14. I don't get it at all. I'm absolutely buzzing at matches right now, just as most people seemed to be at the end of last season. I wonder if we've just been spoilt over the last 3 years and people have become too used to winning or something. I used to love it in the Northam, but recently it's been ****e. I will move seats next year to at least get near some people who are prepared to ****ing sing, not sure where would be better though.
  15. What did people think of the atmosphere last night? From my spot in the northam I was frustrated by the lack of it. Even at 1-1, after the initial boost, it died again. Tried to get a few things going with varying success, but a lot of people around me stood silent, people I remember being much more vocal this time last season. Maybe I'm expecting too much but I thought st marys would be rocking as we tried to clinch promotion, and it really isn't.
  16. Just so you know I blame you entirely for last night.
  17. If you stand in the northam, ****ing sing. I stand in the northam, I sang, by myself. What the **** is up with the atmosphere.
  18. Nah, not really up for it. Thanks for trying though.
  19. Do it.
  20. They do both have a beard, to be fair to Alpine. Also eyes, they both have eyes.
  21. We are going to play Kelvin, because that bloke looks nothing like Kelvin.
  22. If he is going mental at a Reading goal and properly celebrating, then I would probably say he should be a bit more professional. If he is responding to fans chants to confirm the score I would say this can be classed as 'banter' and is fine.
  23. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn. Good question, don't know.
