  1. I was quite happy to discuss my opinion on this article. Read back mate, you are the one who took us off topic with your banging on about bed wetters and sensitive flowers. Well done for getting some swearing in though, tough guy.
  2. What a horrible atmosphere. This is what football will turn into if ticket prices keep going up.
  3. Classic. So I give an opinion, you disagree, I defend my opinion, you refer to me as a "sensitive flower" and group me in with the "bed wetters", and yet apparently I'm the drama queen. Ok princess, whatever you say. The reason people feel the need to launch into this "oh the great CB Fry has spoken" stuff is because you come across as utterly arrogant. You take somebody's opinion, and lump them into whatever polarised group you have decided to attack on that particular day, and your style of discussion is aggressive and condescending. The thread on which you got all huffity and ended an amazing rant with "name them, name them, f*cking name them" was absolutely hilarious, but also typical. You lament the fact that people want everything to do with the club to be positive, defending your right to give a negative opinion when you see fit, and yet in the same breath you refer to somebody giving a very mild, negative opinion of a news story as "whining". So you carry on thinking you are gods gift to winning an argument, well done for having superior opinions to everybody else. If I had your address I would post you a nice shiny medal.
  4. There's only one person being mock offended here mate, and it ain't me. This is a forum for discussing opinions, I gave a fairly innocuous opinion on what I feel is a bit of a over the top headline. No outrage, no whining, no offense. But of course, you are the great CBFry, you must take what I've written, exaggerate it in your own head, so that you have something to get all high and mighty about today. No doubt you will reply with some aggressive rant in which you repeat the same phrase over and over again in a display of all powerful reasoning. I will look forward to that.
  5. Ooooh, yes, very hard hitting words those. Excuse me if I don't feel that the phrase "taking the mick" is exactly "hitting out".
  6. Sensationalist journalism, at no point does he 'hit out'. Just says our valuation and theirs don't match and it's a shame it has to go to tribunal.
  7. Nonetheless, the point stands. Just buy a ticket.
  8. I'm kind of interested. Will probably watch them. Don't see any particular reason not to.
  9. All well and good the crowd chanting when he's about to lose, but where were they when tge third set was slipping away from him? Sounded pretty flat to me.
  10. Well he has two games in this set already, so does that mean Federer is winning the next 5 Alps?
  11. Not sure he would feel that way, not like he would have beaten any of the 3 guys ranked above him.
  12. I don't think so, although Federer had the momentum at that time, it can easily switch around without the need for a break, Murray would've come back into it without the break.
  13. I would suggest that any player being put off by a few overexcited fans probably doesn't have the mental toughness required!
  14. Actually, I would've thought the idea of us perhaps beating City would've been a much more interesting prospect for them.
  15. It's totally tragic and I take your point but it's always very easy to be critical in hindsight. With freak accidents there are usually a combination of unforseen circumstances. The teams will do hundreds of tests like this per season and a car suddenly accellerating towards a lorry in an area reserved purely for stopping is not really something that they would ever expect.
  16. He's quality. Quality on the ball, quality off the ball. Just quality.
  17. I do try not to get into these fan vs fan debates but have to admit, watching the Saints player 'new kit' video, when the chap they're talking to says he's getting his kit today and then hopefully his season ticket tomorrow I can't help but think "you fairweather c***".
  18. But equally, our players seem to lack the composure and technical ability to get themselves out of tight situations. Just watch Iniesta when he receives the ball surrounded by opposition players, we have nobody anywhere near that capable under pressure.
  19. The thing is, people saying they should make it cheaper and fill the place, it was about £15 last year and only 7000 attended.
  20. You know, there might be people in the world who, despite our recession, think that we've got it pretty bloody good ourselves and why are we complaining about anything.
  21. I think just taking figures for money spent and looking at where those clubs got to is missing the point somewhat. What Saints are clearly aiming for is resources PLUS world class management at all levels. It is the second part that would set us apart. Whether that is acheivable is another matter.
  22. My guess is that the red building isn't anything. They just thought "lets put a massive red building in these fictional plans, that will look impressive"
  23. It's not unreasonable for somebody to want to sit with their mates in a particular part of the ground. It's also not unreasonable to expect the club to at least try to help. Keep on trolling though mate.
  24. Yes, well done missing the point. He's after a specific seat with people he knows and the ticket office sound like they're being utterly unhelpful.
