And don't you dare walk in the corridor the same time as me. Does anyone know if they kept his personal lift at staplewood? The dwarf would have loved that.

He's right though. People might not like it but ask anyone if they'd want a couple of thousand drunk English football fans wondering round their city and they'll all tell you the same answer. We aren't Millwall but we do have a lot of Wallies who can't handle their beer. We'll have the issue of the Dutch Police having to police the game as usual as well as all the fans around the town. If they start getting heavy handed then it could well be a recipe for trouble. It's all very well for people to say that they'd just think fair enough if they don't get in and go back to pub but anyone who has been abroad for football will tell you that the local police in some places aren't an accommodating bunch.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

Nothing. Annoying isn't. You'd think we'd be all over this position trying to find someone, anyone will do just so we can announce a signing. It's the half arsed complacent attitude to the transfer market you've drawn out attention to every summer since 2009. You can change the board, change the divison, change the manager but we're still run like a crappy seaside B&B. I strongly believe unless we see somwthing happening on a centre back from NOW we are adrift in the brown stuff without a paddle. I'm not just saying it because it's you but i'm really disapointed in our transfer activity this summer and if people arent worried they should be. -

Danny Fox was one of those players who was a whipping boy from the day he joined. For some reason the fans never took too him and people seem to have short memories. He was part of one of the best defences in the championship, as well as this he was credited with 13 assists in our promotion season, second only to Rickie Lambert. IN the first 3/4s of the season he was fine but as we started to struggle towards the end of the season fans got his back but in truth the way we played didn't help him. He's not the quickest and if people recall how we set up that season we played mostly 4-4-2 with Lallana on the left ahead of him. Lallana, for all his attributes is not a great defensive midfielder so Fox would get little proteciton from in front of him, with a big part of his job being to play high up the pitch to provide crosses into the box for Lambert, which his assist total proves he did well meaning he was always going to be exposed against the "pacy wideman" as we saw on a few occasions, such as Blackpool away. That's not to say he was a premier league player, he is a decent championship full back, nothing more nothing less. Never going to make a Premier league player, much like Jos Hooliveld and just like him he played an important part in our promotion. But whilst Hooliveld is a bit of a fans favourite who people remember affectionatly, Fox competes with Guly for the boo boys favourite from that season. Shame really that even in great times like we are in fans cant appreciate what a player did for us because they never liked him for no real reason. -
To be fair moving several hundred Wisla Krokow lunatics is a damn sight tougher than the Saints fans that'll be gathered in blocks 122 if our usual away support is anything to go by. It'll be middle aged women with tupperware boxes of fairycakes, blokes in clown suits and road cone hats, with the odd drunken fatty with his shirt over a hoodie not quite covering his gut.

Calm down guys, Vitesse have nothing but respect for our firm. The only violence that will take place will be the Vitesse firm fighting each other to be the first to get autographs of their heroes. You've clearly forgotten the DEF are Europes most notorious hooligan army so I'd expect the Vitesse lads to either lock themselves in their houses or off saints the foam hand of friendship for fear of a DEF backlash which no firm wants to come up against. Just look out for this flag In and around the stadium and you know you're in safe hands.

Thank you sir. Tell us a bit more about your team and city please. Be good to get the local view of good places to drink , stay etc.

Yes, my recommendation wasn't looking too good for a while was it, especially as none of us had any idea how serious of financial plight was at that time. it turned out for the best in the end rhoigh.

I think you'll find it was me that recommended him, I even posted about It along with a copy of the email I sent to the club all those years a go. Who'd have thought 'dorkish' would be scouting £25m players. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-47224.html

Saints are right to follow 'showcase club' path to progress
Turkish replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
credit it where it's due young man, that's a pretty good article. As for the subject matter, it's the only way we are going to succeed. We cant afford to match the big boys of for the top talent so we need to get them early or a few rough diamonds, The best ones will go to the top clubs for big money, then reinvest the money to find the next one. I'd certainly much rather be a showcase club than a club which takes expensive faliures that are out to pasture. -
"Connor Armstrong is reporting" I think you mean Connor Armstrong tweeted something he read elsewhere on Twitter.

"You are only making a fool of yourself mate" Said the bloke who thinks he ain't making a fool of himself, who created a login and is getting oh so angry on another clubs forum trying to convince everyone how big his club are.

What a vile, arrogant club Feyehampton are. Why do they think they can just pick off our players as and when it suits them? They should develop their own. I don't mind Claise leaving but to anyone but them. They got our manager and our centre forward now they're taking the p*ss. Feyehampton clearly lack the imagination to develop their own strategy and system so they are stealing ours. Horrible arrogant club with deluded fans.

What bit about two clubs had a bid in with one club for one of their players and that player chose one club over the other are you struggling with pal?

If your boyfriend/husband f*cks off with bother women would you thank him for all the effort he had put into your relationship, hope he is happy with his new piece and you can feel this way as you knew that he was always going to leave you once a more attractive woman showed a bit of interest in him?

Hmm, I'm not so sure. I remember reading a forum once of a league one club that claimed that Had only ever finished in the top 4 of the top flight once in their history. Yet many, many of their fans were indignant that they were on an unstoppable march to the champions league. That their fan base catchment area covered everything south of the line from Liverpool, through Birmingham to London. That they needed a 50,000 stadium to fit all their fans in that were going to watch their team of brilliant academy graduates who would never leave the club sweeping all before them as they destroyed every club between here and Babylon with their brand of Soccerball.

When villa finished 6th 3 years in a row they lost Milner, young, downing, Barry, Friedel as well as other squad players like Curtis Davies, zag knight that could do jobs. Everton have lost Lescott, Arteta, Rodwell, Fellaini in recent seasons, Swansea Bony, Allen, Sinclair, Davies, Vorm, But let's ignore that and pretend it only happens to us.
