  1. Meltdown of the Year goes to Liquidshokk for his 2am New Years day "is life really all that" thread if anyone recalls that one. Classic wrist slitting stuff. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?27232-Is-Life-Really-All-That
  2. A witness said the incident was started by a local saying Lambert would be out for 6 months the amount he was drinking.
  3. i would like to add CB FRy to my nomitation for best poster.

To be fair i do agree, sometime we try and walk it in when we need to be more direct.

Because it's f*cked us up the arse so far this season hasnt it.
  6. If we continue to average a pint sorry a point a game like we have in December, we aint gonna be there much longer.
  7. Exactly the responses i expected. 3 high profile drink and violence related incidents in 12 months. All because our players are like church mice off the pitch right?
  8. Lets be honest every transfer window he's said that and everyone has been a disapointment. I think anyone expecting a big name (for the CCC) is in for a dispaointment.

Really? How good was his first touch? Not great. Did he look an intellegent striker, one to come of the line and play out wide, we dont play a stlye that gets us in behind so a player who plays on the shoulder of the last man is no good, especially at home where most teams defend deep. He is a good finisher but his all round game isn't suited to our style. It's a no from me, unless we are going to change out patient passing game to accomdate him.
  10. I'll probably have a lot of you happy clappy mugs up in arms about this but it is quite clearly a problem. Todays performance lacked energy and vigor. It looked like some of the players were suffering from hangovers. Now whilst i accept it's unlikey that they were on the booze last night it is a well known and scientifically proven fact that a night on the ale takes 3-4 days to get out of the system. For a proffesional athelete to be back in peak condition its going to take at least if not more than this. Now think although RL was apparantly not involved in the dust up in Baddesley on monday night, he was by all accounts drinking in the pub from 6pm and the dust up was at 11-11.30, 5 hours of drinking a few days before an important championship match. Igonring todays performance we now have in the last year 3 high profile drink related inciedents involving our players and violence in the last 12 months. Im not for one minute saying that men in their 20's shouldnt be allowed to go out an enjoy themselves, in fact i think it's great on a saturday night when there is no game for a week to see them out enjoying themselves. IN the case of RL it was great to hear he was in a local boozer, well though of and liked and drinking with locals rather than some c*nt spenidng £3k on a bottle of champagne in a trendy London club. The great thing about footballers in the ole days was that they could relate to the working man. However there does seem to be a drinking culture at SMS which seems to be a problem, 3 incidents in a year, i can never remember any club having that many, least of all us. It does seem to be a problem, Previous managers have had curfews. Fergie did it with Man United and that is what got Lee Sharpe kicked out, it didn't do United a problem, but it did Lee Sharpe whose career burnt out not long after, which one was right??
  11. Did he give credit to the chairman who is doing a great job behind the scenes?
  12. And if they are like August - December we'll be champions. Did anyone predict top two? I thought most said upper midtable would be a great achievement.
  13. I quite agree, it's in our hands.
  14. If only a season lasted 6 games in December you'd be top of the prediction league.
  15. those that were saying a month ago this was the best Saints team ever.
  16. I thought you'd retired from here??
  17. :lol::lol:
  18. But you said we'd finish 17th so it doesn't matter does it? We've still done significantly better than you predicted, what great preperation we must have had in the summer to over achieve so much.
  19. He's very good at it to be fair. Plenty of bites on here.
  20. An all time great one i remember was when we beat Hartlepool 3-2 and Alps was going on and on and on that we shouldn't concede two goals at home to Hartlepool even though we won.
  21. Like hypo it's my first match thread for ages, might have to miss a few more.
  22. at this. You lot crack me up.
  23. Interesting you say that. I've watched Lambert closely all season and felt he's really put in a shift and loves being here and is more commited than anyone else.
  24. Why dont you walk you lazy f*cker?
