Big difference being Ward Prowse was usually in the match day squad even when not starting. Reed had a few good games 5 years ago and has hardly played since. He might go on to be a great premier league player, but then I’d suggest At 25 he’d already be at a team better than Fulham

Im not really a fan of these versatility type players. Unless they are exceptional players it usually means they are pretty average in 3-4 positions and don’t have one good one.

They've brought in some good players for certain, but too much change is not always a good thing. Gelling lots of new players together who will all arrive expecting to be first team players, not always a recipe for success.

This is true. McCarthy signed a new contract 2 years or so ago and that gave him a massive pay rise. Typical Saints, he was being linked with a move and we gave him a massive deal far higher than his worth. Dont think it's as much as Forster but not far off. He was close to joining Liverpool last summer but they went for Adrian instead. We are paying out c£200k+ a week in wages for goalkeepers who are all much of a munchness

Goa doesn't make the signings, the success or failure of signings are nothing to do with him. When you look at the club now it's in a much better state than it was 3 years ago. We have what appears to be a good management team, a very good first team manager and got our identity back as a club. Unfortunately though the management today are paying for the mistakes of yesterday, lumbered with a load of sh*te we cant give away and until the likes of Carillo, Lemina, Hoedt and co are got shot of we will still be hamstrung, that's not Goas fault. Would i prefer someone else as owner, absolutely and it all does appear a bit dodgy, but in truth he hasn't really done much different to how we've been run for years.
