Blimey Mack, with sentiments like that you will never be allowed back on POL!

Enjoy the new role. The downside is that you will have to take the usual suspects off your ignore list

Four Four Two's predicted final PL positions
positivepete replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
Where did they predict Norwich and Swansea to finish last year? Looks a bit like last years final with a couple of minor adjustments. In most seasons there is a big shuffle in the order of the middle ranking teams because in reality there are only a few points difference between 8th and 15th. Answer above same time as I posted! -
Five a side has a sin bin using a blue card system. Would save a lot of administration at local league level but deny the local FA of revenue. As for professional football, I am not sure it would help, teams would soon adapt to being one man down for a short period.

i am one of those nut jobs who has spent way too much time on this thread over the past three years. One benefit however is being led to many new websites and some great articles

It is just like catching a bus or a train every week, but far safer. Great to start with, a pain for making midweek matches. In the end you make of it what you want

Phil, Eric, I fly into DBX from bne on the 11th. Better arrange for a celebratory drink! (can we find a place during Ramadan?)

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
positivepete replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
In the early part of last season Guly and LalLana came in from the flanks and switched positions very effectively. I think that sort of pattern will be repeated this season, just from higher up, so Jay R and Lee either side of Lambert. As you say Lambert is more likely to drop deep as he doesn't have the pace at this level to play on the shoulder. So if Rickie is deep, Adam is in the hole, they are going to fill their own space. That is why I chose Jay R and Lee who have the pace to trouble defenders at this level. -

I think it more likely to be Davis Clyne Fonte Jos Fox Cork Davis Morgan Jay R Rickie Lee Although it is possible two of the back four might change, and I am not sure where A L fits in -
Agree we will not be playing 442 next season. Interesting also to note that Shaw has been playing in a more advanced role in all his appearances so far

Just woke up in Sunny Brisbane to the redundancy and the 4 nil news. Shame it wasn't 4 1. Brisbane Saints promotion party today, and another eventful day down the road to raise our glasses to Cheers!
-
It will be a Barcelona style 4 3 3!
-
Not if we play the formation we did yesterday, with that formation quick full backs give the width and pace

An article on Butland (Saints retain an interest) http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jul/14/london-2012-team-gb-jack-butland -
It confirms what we all knew, the manager knows much more about football and how it should be played than the anti Guly brigade on here. Great news.

Tiny minds is not restricted to the knuckle dragging fraternity. And for the record I enjoy real ale without being one of the above mentioned club

Blimey, a reasoned debate on a controversial subject, you can tell the trolls are in bed

Hi MLG, a review of the press reports of matches between the clubs and in Europe shows that the press are clearly in favour of one side, and the reporting is always of Rangers chants, rarely of Celtics. Not taking sides here, just trying to get some balance.
-
So are Catholic songs about killing Protestants, so why do people get worked up about Rangers singing these songs but not worked up when Celtic do the same?

I will claim 21 st July as that is the day the Brisbane Saints are having our much delayed promotion party. We shall make it a double celebration
