  1. De Gea was **** for 1 whole season with Man U, where as Gazza has only really played twice in spells for us. 1st under Nigel where teams were having more shots than a bukkake conference and over Xmas this season when our central defence and midfield were dealing with injuries etc. If he f*cks up thats life but we have the players we have no point in moaning about of what we could of or should of had, we should look at it as a learning opportunity, we are fortunate enough for these games to be only about pride, if he doesn't perform he will be out the door in the summer i would expect and Cropper given a chance as 3rd but lets just hope we are wrong and he performs.
  2. Jeez Glasgow you are beavering away on every thread, your busier than a 1 armed bricklayer in Baghdad.
  3. Didn't we win 3-0 in his last game for us and if I remember we had a lot of injuries during that spell, positive attitude and all that.
  4. FA cup has in my view a 1 season benefit that adds to our history in what is becoming a redundant cup and gives us access to the second rate European competition. It would be something that would add to our history but may not positively impact our future. Champions League means a lot more cash and accessibility to a better quality of player who wants to play in the CL, a player who can result in us possibly pushing on the next season and help win the FA cup as well. If we fail at both then we still have those players under contract and opportunities for the year after etc etc.
  5. Well he must be on the right track as he has just been named left back and the only Englishman in the Best Young Players in the world by Sky Italia :-) like the look of that Mitrovic up front this summer.
  6. Hans Hofstetter, Director, added: “Whilst I perceive that we have inherited a difficult situation financially, there are now clear and structured plans in place to progress the Club and avoid a similar situation from occurring again. “The continued support of the Ultimate Shareholder cannot be underestimated, and we are grateful to be able to rely on their dedication to helping us flourish as a Club. “In the short time I have been at Southampton it has become abundantly clear that we are blessed with a staff that has all the necessary skills with which to progress, and now that we can supplement that with a strong Board I am sure we will enjoy a successful future together.” Read more at http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/31032014-financial-results-201213-1455995.aspx#8pIlUjdxubz1XvIb.99
  7. hahahahaha I thought the same about his hair, I think I read somewhere that they encourage you to grow it out after treatment. He is slowly morphing into that dude with the soul glow in coming to america Thought Massa was a little ***** today, instigating team orders at the beginning when Bottas was trying to overtake and then ignoring them and then complaining afterwards when he was told to move over when he had overtaken 0 people all day. Force India were great with Hulk, Riccardo just can't get a break and Lewis won by 12 secs whilst not getting anywhere near his full fuel consumption so was coasting. Will take a lot for any team to catch them before it is too late.
  8. What did Einstein say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I think we are doing Roy a disservice, if I was him I would be using the heat and humidity angle to drop these older players like Lampard/Cole etc and promote youth into this world cup. We did after all see the effect the young german team had in the last world cup where as against Algeria we were awful. If Hoddle can drop Gazza then Roy can dump Welbeck.
  9. Without a doubt the best Newcastle performance yesterday
  10. Glasgow and Alpine your boys took one hell of a beating.....
  11. today has been pleasing viewing without the usual 2nd half fight back by the other team
  12. Dude seriously this part of the world is awesome, I used to live in joburg with work but then decided to retire to here cos it looked nice. Went to George Garden Route Mall the other day and it was decent, but Knysna is on another level. Live in a house on the cliffs in Pezula and feel like a bond villain, south africa has the best location for sport in the world it gets everything and went for a mountain bike ride yesterday and got abused by a troop of baboons, avoided a puff adder and missed the knysna forest elephants thankfully :-) If you come back for a visit let me know and I will insist you and your mrs come and get drunk in casa de convict.
  13. I only put the 38yr old so you didn't think I was ancient like a lot of the locals.
  14. Have just retired here as a 38yr old, thought it was better than going back home.
  15. Can I just say that clubs like newcastle are the clubs who put their own ends ahead of the english game, how many b grade frenchmen can they have all in the name of buying the finished article cheaper, how about you geordie fecks develop some !!
  16. Gotta bring on gaston next half, Cork/JWP/Davis is not exactly a threat. Rob Elliot is MOM so far, goalkeeping gangster

Thought I'd update this as dived in on monday and is so far going well. Went for 3 companies on the JSE, Coronation - Do Unit Funds etc and a well regarded company here, have used them myself and their result speak for themselves. Sanlam - Do insurance predominantly and expanding into Africa as a whole, got good buzz here so plumb for that. Woolworths - More of a gut feel this one as their stores are always busy and I like the food (think M&S type food). Current Returns as of COB today 3 days in !!! Coronation - 1,64% Sanlam - 4,03% Woolworths - 0.50 % Total ROI (not including fee's) = 6,17% which I am obviously stoked with but am awaiting the downs before the next ups.
  21. Whoa he has a high rating on Whoscored 7.67 in both the league and Europa !! http://www.whoscored.com/Players/98101/ Central defensive position !
  22. Too disappointed to read this thread but is it full of Alpine/Barry and Glasgow ?

Will update this thread probably next week as I am about to begin investing on the JSE, I've done analysis on dual listed companies that list on the JSE and FTSE/AIM as its easier to use ADFVN for research if they are listed in the UK but think looking at the outlook or potential for growth I am gonna have to go for African only ones. Plenty of interesting African companies though and whilst I won't be putting my fortune (yet) into these investments I am gonna drop in 10k and practise for 6 months but will continue research on the companies I currently like over the weekend and eliminate it down to my final few. When I say practise i don't mean buying the shares, I mean where I get my research from, how I distill reports, what companies naturally interest me, what mistakes have i made etc etc so that I am a "veteran" for when I want to ramp up the dinero. No.1 Priority for me will be though to insert stop losses at 7% deficit of the buy price which I will update every evening if the share price rises, I expect to take quite a few losses but for every 3 7% losses I hope for a 20% + winner, think the 7% gives me natural leeway as well on the share price, am not gonna bother becoming a chartist as its too hard and not something i believe in really. I won't be investing in any mining here though (my old job) as the entire industry piggy backs on any disturbance or strike to have copy cat strikes nationwide and miners are the worst and with the Marikana commission due sometime soon I expect it to all kick off again.
