John W Henry is not a poor man, and given how he made his absolute killing on Wall Street, not a stupid man either. I fail to feel sorry for him or them.

As I've said before, it would have been incredibly embarrassing if the Premier League had a club in it that went bust. They were never going to allow it to happen. As for non-league, no embarrassment there. No spotlight.

Reminds me of when one of their two or three supporters accused us of schadenfreude when we laughed at their financial problems. Yeah because it's not as if they didn't do the same with us, or rubbed it in when we were relegated in 2005. Nope, not at all...

I realise the thread title is about travel fares, but I've thought about football refunds in general for a while now. I think of it this way - if you buy a lottery ticket and none of your numbers come up, a bad result, do you ask for your money back? No. It was a bad performance, but no one is entitled to see a certain performance or a result just because they've paid a sum of money. It's the nature of the game. To use another analogy, would you ask for your money back if you went to a gig and it wasn't as good as you had hoped?

Fair point. What made me laugh is the amount of people that said they 'couldn't accept the ending'... What, just like Tony couldn't? Oh dear...
