We'll probably find out that our contract with under armour (like Toby's loan deal) isn't as water tight as we thought. They'll bin us off and we'll have no money and no kit. I'm mostly saying that tongue in cheek but with our board you never know ...
-
Agree, though in fairness I can't think of anyone else who even vaguely deserves the title of player of the season. Not a single one.
-
Heart says we'll win tomorrow, head says this unfortunately. In fairness, we probably deserve to go down after this seasons completely shambolic management. Should never have been in this position this season.
-
I'm quite torn on this one. I can't stand the constant spoilt child behaviour of players moaning at the ref over every single decision in every game you ever watch, not to mention the constant diving, cheating and play acting to con the officials It leaves a sour taste and doesn't actually help the ref do his job properly. And managers moaning every week just reinforces this sort of behaviour. On the other hand, I'm fed up with appalling decisions. We picked up 2 points from Watford, Everton and Chelsea, and should have had 9. It's really not good enough. And in this era where clubs with huge infrastructures and countless people on the payroll (not the players,l they're a bunch of mercenaries anyway) it affects people's livelihoods. People At st Mary's and staplewood will be losing their jobs in a week if we go down. I guess we just need to hope we survive and get var in Asap. It's not perfect but has got to be better than what we have today.

Yes, I meant ready for the first team. We didn't replace either fonte or vvd with anything like the right quality. Fwiw I like the look of bednarek so far.

Everyone's been moaning about ref decisions against Watford, Chelsea, and Everton ... In hindsight I think the most costly one was the penalty we got v West Ham giving us our only win before mid October. Maybe if we'd not won someone would have sacked him sooner? It really has been a catalogue of mis-management.
-
Couple of big decisions to be made. Really don't like the idea of a back three of bednarek Stephens and hoedt, could play Bertrand in a 3 but then who plays left back? McQueen has a handful of appearances and hasn't played for ages. Pied is more experienced but also hasn't played for ages and is obviously a right back. If lemina is fit I think I'd go with a back four, play hoj Romeu lemina Redmond and tadic behind Austin. I suspect Hughes won't want to abandon a back 5 though after some decent performances.
-
And then compound it even further by not buying a centre back. For the third successive transfer window.
-
I have a history degree so have got past the nappies bit. In the same way I can cope with Constantinople being Istanbul I can cope with boscombe being Bournemouth. I just don't get why some people can't.
-
Wanna check the local council wards??
-
Having slated both Redmond and tadic this season I'm almost ashamed to say I'd start them both, either side of Austin. Back to a back four with Romeu, jwp and peh in midfield. Not sure on the centre backs. Probably Maya with one other. The full backs pick themselves. Absolutely must win. Think we're down anyway but anything short of a win will confirm it as a definite for me.
-
Sorry, but you're plain wrong. They're in kings park, a suburb of Bournemouth. The school a couple of hundred yards away is called kings park. Bosombe is also a suburb of Bournemouth. It's pier is indeed closer than Bournemouth, but pokesdown train station is closer than Bournemouth, so why not call them Pokesdown? Do we call manure Newton Heath? Or Birmingham small Heath? No, course not - persisting with boscombe is pathetic.
-
They were originally boscombe, but added the Bournemouth bit in 1923. So unless you're over 100 suggest you should have gotten over this by now. And anyway, they're not "in" boscombe, they're in kings park. Both of which are in Bournemouth.
-
3 counts actually - he suggests lamina should start ahead of peh. He is clearly a moron.
-
Is Hughes playing for fergie time? Because if so he needs to realise these players have the heart of a branfoot, not a fergie.
-
The man who has one mistake in him every game? Thanks for jinxing things ...
-
Seeing that we let in 3 goals every game we'd better start scoring soon!
-
Gardening at night - great song. Might go and listen to it followed by their normal wrist-slitting stuff which kind of sums up the mood.

Heard about schmeichel, but who else are they missing?

This is impossible, I've got two teams and probably have room for a third Buffon Lahm baresi cannavaro maldini Xavi sammer iniesta Messi ronaldo c ronaldo De gea Cafu bennarivo costacurta brehme Seedorf vieira mattheus Henry van basten zidane No place for Koeman (ex Saint?), batistuta, gullit, moller, klinsman, davids, bergkamp, Roberto Carlos, desailley, maybe Danny blind. Some tough choices for sure.

2 things shaping my opinion, one I also agree with the modern player being fitter. And two, I'm not necessarily going for my favourite players, but players in the positions where I think we're weakest, so while clyne is better than Cedrick, and Morgan better than Romeu, I think our biggest issues are at centre back, centre forward and attacking midfield. I'd therefore choose svensson, le tiss, mane and shearer. Something like McCarthy Cedric killer hoedt Bertrand Lamina Romeu Mane le tiss tadic Shearer -
Exactly this.

That'll be why ... Banished that one from my memory.

Actually I Can't?
