Bubbha Thomas & the Lightmen - 'Country Fried Chicken'.

No pro Echo comments on the Guardian website. I think that reflects the general consensus ie. no one cares. However, I'm sure Kerins and the dear leader will log on and grind their axes soon.

Good shout (as usual) Hamilton Saint. I'm not sure which is my favourite, they're all so good (up until Sweet Deceiver and then it's all a bit downhill). However he released The Unfairground about 3 years ago, and I rather like that; it's a bit of a return to form. But there is no disputing the fact that Kevin Ayers is a song-writing genius. And one can't forget his part in the formative years of psychedelia with the Soft Machine. Sadly, he is all but forgotten these days.

God help us! Another plank pops up in the form of saint mears.

So where is everyone drinking before the game? Apart from Hooters obviously. And what about after the game?

Away days! Especially if I'm stood next to some nutter in a Bananaman costume at the Hawthorns!

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

I can't wait for the cuts to kick in and for this country to go to the dogs again. I have fond memories of the 80s; living in a bus, attending regular riots, squatting houses, vibrant youth counter-cultures and the beginning of the acid house scene. Hopefully we'll see the end of depressing, celebrity obsessed, money orientated, Simon Cowell fuelled, corporate, soulless, manufactured music for morons. -
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! etc......

Hey MongoNeil, I tried sending you a PM but couldn't. The show is on UK Dance FM. I play the last Monday of every month. Next show is tonight; I'm gonna play an hour or so of old acid house followed by an hour of Salsoul & disco. VINYL ONLY! http://www.ukdancefm.co.uk Have a listen but use the Winamp link! The show gets repeated and then put online for downloading.

I'm a bit of an old school house head. I just asked because I do a monthly internet radio show.

The "I'm not sure I can be R-Sed to go to the Oldham game" thread

Perhaps you could avoid going to the rest of this season's home games as well and give your ticket to someone who actually wants to watch Saints? -
Only when he's pretending to be SRS / DBP / Turkish.

He was a very tenacious player when he was here and was putting in 100% effort when everybody else looked like they couldn't be bothered. Perhaps he wasn't the most skilled player but our skilled players weren't turning up.

As did this forum when we collectively voted to sponsor him! There was a good reason for that: he impressed us all!

Sorry Pancake, can't help. Oh, and by the way..... wtf is your avatar?

I fully expect to hear of a human torso being washed up on the Isle of Wight not long after reports of AP going 'missing'.

Quite right Hamilton Saint. In fact, I would go so far as to say that ALL popular music of the 20th (& 21st) century is of "Afro-American" descent except maybe country & western. I find it quite amusing that anyone could be ignorant enough to delineate their dislike of specific genres of music along racial boundaries. As for Dune's dance music videos........ It is a fact that the modern dance music scene began in American clubs such as the Warehouse in Chicago and the Paradise Garage in New York. These clubs were frequented by young black men, many of whom were gay. Many of the DJs who played at these clubs such as Larry Levan were also black and gay. (I also find it ironic that one of the forum's most openly 'right-wing' posters should proclaim his love of the Levellers; a band that espoused anything but 'right-wing' values and who took their name from a political group that could almost be seen as socialist anarchists!)

Things weren't right under AP. Pre-season was a disaster and key players weren't fit. Whether the players were signed by AP or not, they are certainly beginning to perform for NA, and as Turkish rightly said, the quality of football is excellent. I would rather be watching the style of football we have witnessed at the last two home games than AP's 'style'.
