Have to agree with the majority, it was a poor choice and poor experience. I left about halfway through the set and thousands were doing the same. I am not a massive fan I admit that but I was still keen to see what sort of show they would put on. Dull would be the word I'd use to describe it, didn't entertain or hold my attention at all. To think I missed the Flaming lips for it (I think) is a bit giutting. Everyone has an opinion obviously but to say it's the best Pyramid perfomance in 40 years? Not even close. I would say I've seen in the region of 15-20 Pyramid headliners and it was in the bottom 3 along with White stripes and Oasis.

I'm pretty sure it's Roger Daltrey.

I would happily pay to dine in the Wiltshire saint suite. Sorely missed, never forgotten.

Or, you could agrue that perhaps Ponty is the only mod that can see the humour in certain posts and judge correctly the way they were intended. The above posts on speeding do not fall into that category. I think you'd be surprised how many people feel that way about the modding on here.

Well I was about to mention Widdrington when I saw your post. Obviously he wouldn't be the first choice for many but this thread is about ex Saints. The FA spend 6m a year on Capello to achieve a dreadful World cup performance. Widdringotn could save them a fortune and the money saved could be ploughed back in to the grass roots level. The players all know how to play football, you can't coach them anymore than they get at club level, they just need to be galvanised as a team and told tactical specifics on the actual opponents. Widdringotn could do all of these things.

Harsh sentance or not, it's good to see that those who involve themselves in incidents like this do actually get idenitifed and punished. Maybe now anyone thinking of posturing in front of Bournemouth fans next season might just think twice and walk home. Big maybe though.

Yes! They simpy CAN afford to stand still as we have money behind us. Chelsea get 30k a week less than Man utd but still beat them to the title. Newcastle get 50k every week but still got relegated. It doesn't go hand in hand that you build a big stadium and you'll suddenly finish in the top 10. Do you homestly think MK dons and Plymouth will be challenging for Europe just because they build a World cup stadium. We'll be perfectly fine with a 32k SMS, th biggest factor by far is the money backing us.

9-12th place finishes last year. Birmingham, Blackburn, Stoke , Fulham. All with smaller stadiums and fan bases with our can compete in the Prem quite happily. In order to be left behind surely all these clubs would need to massively increase their garounds and fan bases too and they won't. There's also at least another 5 clubs who'll be in the Prem next year even smaller than these. I'm all for ambition but to say we'll be left behind is nonsense, left behind by who?

Why do people assume that by having a 32k stadium we are going to be "left behind"? Where are the figures to base this on? The club is 125 years old this year and until SMS we did ok never topping 32K. Exactly what clubs ar going to be leavng us behind and where do you think they'll be getting this swell of support from? A 55k staduim for a city the size of Southampton is quite ridiculous regardless of how we're doing. As for having it in an area out of town like Bolton, no thank you.
