Walsall Weather Watch / Build-up Thread - Game called off!
Junction 9 replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
The game is postponed guys due to the weather, just seen on the Echo webiste. -
A great theory in an ideal world, but how far do you take it? I have heard nothing but support for Rickie at St Mary's. Are you telling me a player who is getting paid good money by our club can under perform week after week with no reprisals? And any criticsm whatsoever is labelled as being negative? 6 league goals (some pens) cannot go on if we want promotion.
-
Question is, how long into this season do wait for Lambert to come good? It's a big gamble as we're fat approaching half way through. If we came 7th or 8th and lack of goals was the primary reason then it would have been seen as a poor decision. The club comes first, get a quality striker in in the window and drop Lambert. His heart isn't here anymore if you ask me.
-
Heaven forbid anyone who tries to inject humour into the gravely serious topic of discusssing a football club.
-
I can confirm they will not let you into St Mary's with a live rabbit.

BBC annoyed with Daily Echo over Saints coverage

Cancelled my delivery about 6 months ago and haven't missed it one little bit. Terrible local paper. -
I'm your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me, Papa, Papa Waigo................

All of the posters above know full well I'm a gas man and don't fix tumble dryers. Sorry.
-
I know a few people that live in Bristol and they've never mentioned a big Saints support in the area. Surprised you saw as many as you did!!
-
What would Churchill say? Actually I already know has you post quotes from him most days.
-
Your first and second points completely contradict each other.
-
Well I'll be giving it a go anyway.

Oh I'm sorry. That incident really has made me re-evaluate the entire concept of socialism.

I recently sat next to an American lady on a flight from Denver. We got talking politics as I was interested in her views on the Tea party etc. She was extremely envious we had an impartial way of broadcasting in the UK and believe me the BBC is still the envy of the world. She has to watch Fox, say no more. Anyway, all that aside, if Dune wants something the rule of thumb is do the opposite and that's the right way.

Maybe someone gave him a link to this website?

I would say that regardless of having the Liebherr backing behind us, we would have a similar standard of Prem team we had under the Strachan/Redknapp era. I'd say they are far too prudent to ever sign mega money players on long term contracts like City have. Similar team, similar gates.
-
Why do people think we'd get more in the Prem now, than we did before? I'd say we'd get less after the excitement of the first season. Look at Newcastle, back up in the prem and other than thier derby game getting 10,000 under capacity. Same with Sunderland who extended their stadium from an original size that was similar to ours. To suggest we'd get 35-40k for Fulham is utter madness.
-
And how would you get there exactly? I can't see Parkway train station being able to handle thousands of fans on a matchday, if they did how would you get accross the motorway junction on foot? Other option would be if they provided car parking at the stadium, that rules out the fans that have a drink and I wouldn't wanyt to sit in a queue when 30,000+ fans all want to leave at the same time. Also, where is the nearest pub? Oh that's right there will be bars avaialble at the ground selling overpriced ****e beer like at SMS that we'll all be forced to drink in. Stoneham being turned down and St Mary's being built was the best thing that ever happened to SFC.

Why are you posting in the style of Ray Winstone?
-
A sealed system will not just de-pressurise itself. I would suggest you stop being tight and get this done properly.

We are capable of 8th.

Does anyone remember a poster called Wiltshire saint? I believe he is banned now but he was a gay man. Loved it.

How does this £20 billion cost factor into the revenue generated by the tourism etc? Is it a fact the these Olympics will run at a loss to the country even when sold out?
