  1. Just seen Fluminese's UA shirt for next season. If this is a standard template then I could see our home kit being like this. Thick Red and white stripes with a thinner black line between them. Perhaps someone with photoshop skills could re-colour this image to see what it would look like in our colours.
  2. Never witnessed a Saints comeback first hand but was unfortunate enough to be at Tranmere the night we had a comeback against us. We were 3-0 up at half time and lost 4-3.
  3. Not really. You can still mock up the shirt without sponsorship. Kit designers produce designs every day of the week without a clue who the sponsor is going to be.
  4. Fact or your preferred option?
  5. Result flattered them but I don't understand why the likes of Forster and Ely started this game. Surely we should be looking to get as many points on the board as possible, not playing players who simply aren't up to the job.
  6. Exactly. Our record for the last 6 games, which on paper was the easiest run-in of any of the bottom clubs, looks embarrassing.
  7. A mate has just sent me a text to say that he's heard our away kit next season is purple. I bloody well hope not, but given some of the awful shirts that have already been announced for next season, nothing would surprise me. Surely he's on the wind up? When have Saints ever worn purple???
  8. Same here. Something like the Feyenoord shirt. I see Adidas have just done Yellow / Black halves for Watford's kit next season.
  9. Perhaps you'd like to tell me what he's done this season? Let's be honest, he's done nothing to make the manager start him, where as Long clearly has. If he was that important the Manager wouldn't be saying "if he gets a chance to play somewhere else I am happy for him" and he certainly wouldn't have told him to find a new club this summer. When Long was given a chance he worked hard and got his reward. Can you honestly say the same about Austin? Every time he's played this season all you hear is people saying that they never want to see him in a Saints shirt again. He's done nothing to prove himself!!! Had Obafemi been fit I doubt Austin would have even made the bench.
  10. Lack of fitness leads to a lack of focus and concentration.
  11. In fairness he's never given up. His work rate is superb. He always gives 100% and even when he hit lean times in front of goal he's just carried on working hard in training and earned his place back in the starting 11. He's a very useful player to have in the squad. Charlie Austin could learn a thing or two from him about knuckling down and fighting for a place.
  12. Exactly. He's come in for a bit of stick recently but he's done a great job for us this season. where would we have been without his goals? Also, his work rate and link up play has been superb at times. his performance against Wolves a couple of weeks ago was brilliant.
  13. Made hard work of things again. Another lead thrown away, twice, and had to rely on other results going in our favour, but at least it's all over now. We can breath a sigh of relief and look forward to seeing what Ralph can build for next season. A bit of dead wood to clear out and 3 or 4 signings and we'll hopefully be back on track.
  14. Out of interest, where would we be if we hadn't dropped all these points from leading positions?
  15. Typical Saints. Always making things more difficult that they should be. Still not convinced we're safe. Brighton battled hard tonight and I can see them getting a result against Newcastle. Sane for Cardiff against Fulham. I'd love us to win on Saturday and it all be done and dusted. My gut feeling us that it's going to the final day. Imagine Liverpool are already champions & City field a weakened side against Brighton. Utd could also have nothing to play for so maybe a shock result for Cardiff. Please Saints. Just finish the job at the weekend.
  16. Fair enough, but you're only looking at it one way. Bournemouth is a derby. A very different type of fixture to playing Wolves. Cardiff look like they've got a bit of fight in them. Fulham have had a couple of decent results of late but they're already down, so yes, I do think Cardiff will beat them. Brighton haven't won in five but that can't go on forever. They have the home advantage and strange things happen. Yes, I could see them beating Newcastle. Only time will tell but I'd certainly have a few quid on Cardiff and Brighton winning next week.
  17. I'm not trolling. Sadly, I don't see us getting anything at Watford. Next week we've got a tough game against Bournemouth which I could see being a draw. Cardiff will beat Fulham and I can see Brighton beating Newcastle, which puts us right back in the ****. It's going to go to the final day. Why we can't just put these things to bed so that we can enjoy the final few games I'll never know? Southampton FC, making things difficult for themselves since 1885. ;-)
  18. Not sure yet. Probably buy a load if gig tickets and try and enjoy the summer.
  19. I honestly think we're going down.
  20. I'd like to think that we'll pick up points in our next two games and make things easy for ourselves, however, this is Saints we're talking about and when do they ever do things the easy way? I could easily see us getting nothing from our next two games and the pressure being on for the last 3 as we battle it out with Brigton and Cardiff. :-(
  21. And another one... https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/17513343.ex-saint-adrian-caceres-locked-up-for-18-months-on-drugs-charge/
  22. Watch him get injured whilst on England duty.
  23. Huddersfield will be up for it having just beaten Wolves. You never know...
  24. Face it. We're going down.
