    Heaney was mostly pants - the odd flash of skill but that was it. How about Andy Townsend? Although ostnesibly a centre midfielder Chris Nicholl played him out wide, this being one of the reasons he left to join the Canaries.

    It's time to hold our nerve. Plan A = develop young players. Plan B = there is no plan B. So we have to live with some crappy defeats like this in the early part of the season. Remember Crystal Palace made the playoffs after a similar start to ours last season so please don't relegate us yet, doom-mongers.
