  1. Anyone got a link to the video of the cheerleaders???
  2. has he actually been on yet?
  3. Add me to the wet side. Was stupid with the whole Connolly shirt thing, what he should've done was run up and give it to me in my hand when I was stood in the front row to save all the trouble!!! Great night out and great performance, shame about the late kerfuffle once it started raining but we're in the hat for next round
  4. anyone know what colour we're wearing???
  5. For me its between: Kelvin Davis - club legend, obvious reasons Dan Harding - rarely has a bad game, always solid Radhi Jaidi - ditto Harding and wins every header Adam Lallana - been fantastic in recent weeks Rickie Lambert - been fantastic since he signed, has been working hard on fitness, always gives 100%, if only he could get more service...
  6. Davis - 7 - could've been better positioned for the goal, couple of dodgy throws but a couple of good punches/claims Harding - 7 - decent game as usual, seems to have gone off the boil in the last couple of games but still pretty good, eventhough not his best Trotman - 7 - decent game, won most things in the air as always Jaidi - 8 - won absolutely everything in the air, bossed the defence James - 7 - ok, didn't really notice much of him, some good crosses Mellis - 8 - best game in a Saints shirt, looked brilliant when in the middle, good passing and unlucky with the shot that hit the post Hammond - 8 - Brilliant, aggressive as usual, some great passes Wotton - 7 - ok, didn't really notice him, good aggression Papa Waigo - 8 - started off poor but improved, missed a sitter, looked terrible at times but brilliant at others. well taken goal, needs to learn how to cross. Lallana - 10 - MOTM, fantastic, ran the game, great passing, 2 well taken goals, fantastic Lambert - 9.5 - Fantastic, great goal, won everything in the air and seemed to be doing it all on his own at the start. His goal proved that if he gets the service, he WILL score.

  15. Please God, let this be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This would be a dream come true for us and something for me to brag about at work in P*mpey! No, seriously, this could be exactly what we need. Now, all we need is for them to confirm on Monday and put us out of our misery. COYR !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
  16. Got back from the game a few hours ago and have been reading through all the posts. First half was pretty shocking from us to be honest. No passing, no thought, no commitment, no threat to their defence while our defence looked shaky. The passing was awful - just hoofball, with a few attempts at cross-field balls when there were so many opportunities to use the space more often. There was absolutely no thought put into the passing either - someone decided to play it in the air to Gillett (who no offence to him is not the tallest guy on the team) who was surrounded by 3 (much taller) Eastleigh players. I can understand that there wasn't much commitment seeing as it was just a friendly. The disallowed goal was probably a correct decision but Bart should have got to the ball earlier when it was above the reach of the strikers rather than letting it get to the stage that it was possible to head it out of his hands. From the first half, the players who impressed me were Wayne Thomas who was outstanding and very commanding, winning most things in the air and Simon Gillett who was much the same as Thomas plus a fantastic touch at times. The players who didn't impress me were Lloyd James who wasn't his usual sharp self and was just running into players but will come good when his match sharpness returns, Paul Wotton whose distribution was very poor and kept missing slide tackles (but on the plus side, the commitment was there) and Grzegorz Rasiak who just looked disinterested and not bothered. Second half with the kids was much better. Much more commitment, better passing, more threat to their goal and more domination and confidence at the back. Better passing, good triangles and more thought going into it. Players who impressed me were Ben Reeves who was outstanding at left-back with a great first touch and good pace and crossing ability and Olly Lancashire who was basically our Wayne Thomas of the 2nd half. Players who were disappointing 2nd half were Pulis who hardly touched the ball and the right-winger who was the same. Didn't really notice the blond CM who everyone is going on about. I think Wayne Thomas (if we can afford to keep him) and Olly Lancashire should be our CB pairing based on todays performances from them, maybe with Perry at full-back cos I liked him last season. With the goalkeeping debate, I'm not sure which of Bart and Forecast I prefer as both look shaky and the goal was Forecast's fault although both made some good saves. Hopefully Kelvin will stay (fingers crossed). Crowd was good, mostly Saints fans who gave their players a good reception. The bloke on the tannoy was quite good and funny. All in all a good run-out but with plenty of areas to improve in.
  17. Care to share his reply??? I bet he'll get a few more PMs now that people know he replies lol Seriously though, Thank you so much Tony and your team for your efforts in saving our great club. Especially you Mr. Lynam for keeping us fans informed. I just hope you will be able to complete the deal that we all want and hope for.
  18. Good start this morning. Lancs effectively 42-4. Flintoff out c Lumb b Mascarenhas for 54 after a bit of an onslaught by him this morning. Than Mr. Laxman decided to run himself out for 1 Kyle Hogg and Francois du Plessis in at the moment. Lets hope we can knock them over for a lead of 150 odd before tea
