He has always come across as an unprofessional, irritating, unfit bell end. But at least he would occasionally score goals and looked like he enjoyed playing. Now he's just coming across as a bitter, unprofessional, unfit bell end that won't get any game time. I don't blame him necessarily for wanting to sit on his arse and get paid for it, but what a boring and unfulfilling life to live (even if you do have a ridiculous amount of money). Hopefully he doesn't become a cancer to the rest of the team with his attitude. I know he's mates with Redmond (or appears so on the pitch), but from what I've seen on social media over summer they are different ends of the professional spectrum with regards to their commitment to fitness etc.

Nothing to do with being left out of the pre-season squad and VvD famously deciding to leave Lemina's current employer on bad terms a couple of years ago.

On Instagram (on which he is a complete self-obsessed bell end) he has posted a story wishing Virgil can Dijk "Happy birthday and all the best for every decision you make". I suspect he won't be leaving on good terms with fans. I would post a screenshot if I knew how.

WHAT A (HUMAN) GUY!! Hopefully he gets to finish, but doubt anyone would begrudge him if he didn't. Medically we have been forced to make the regrettable decision to retire Franny from his IronFran challenge today. This decision has not been taken lightly but follows the recommendation of his sports therapist. This morning Franny will receive further medical assessment from doctors in the hope that he will be able to return to complete his epic challenge tomorrow and return home to Southampton this weekend. Franny has been fully involved in making this decision but is obviously hugely disappointed to not be back in the pool and on the road today. This is not Fran quitting, this is a medical decision and his family and support team have decided they will continue IronFran on his behalf today – swimming, cycling and running for Franny. We would urge everyone to continue to show their support and turn out and cheer the team on and help Franny get to his £1m goal for Cancer Research UK.
