Apparently originally commissioned to go in Harrods before he sold it off so he put two and two together and came up with FLC lol!
-
He would get paid his full current contract either way, just a question of how much the two clubs split the costs. Never heard of a player getting loaned out and receiving a lower salary whilst still having a valid contract at the parent club.
-
Isn't the plan for him to come on loan, at least initially in which case his wage will be guaranteed at his current contract rate, just a question for SFC and Reading to thrash out who pays what. Whatever may or may not happen at the end of the loan period is another matter for negotiation altogether.

It is of course premature to be even thinking about a change, NA needs time to mould this team and to decide on his best 11 which I don't think he has at this point in time. I was chatting with someone last week about the players Adkins has brought to the Club in his short time here and other than Butterfield I couldn't recall which of the players he brought in is getting a regular game? Can someone with a better grasp on the comings and goings clarify this?

This is about a Football Club not a Company...oh wait lol. It's about PR and it wouldn't have taken much to have a couple of people there representing the current set-up regardless of any other factors. Now I'm not a LMcM fan but I do appreciate what he and all the other attendees have done for our Club in the past. Whether Cortese had good reason to be, shall we say, frustrated with some of the attendees recent vocal angst against the club he could easily, very easily, have turned this into a positive PR of the Club (and himself) rather than, at best, a split view on his actions.
-
It's clear from reading the many opposing posts on this thread that whilst Cortese has demonstrated strong and determined leadership he is clearly lacking in accepting that positive PR will do him no harm whatsoever. It wouldn't have taken much to send a couple of 'official' representatives to this celebration evening, indeed he could have attended himself I guess, depending on his circumstances. It just seems so strange to 'appear' to actively alienate The Club in circumstances like this when, with no real effort required, he could have made everyone happy.

More importantly who was the presenter of the program? Truly awful!
-
Yes that would be good although I was more referring to Martin...

The loan window opens in a weeks time I believe
-
I think it's this thread that is causing all the problems
-
It was an L1 team
-
In relative terms a completely fair comparison
-
Expect to see him to go out on loan which was due to happen last week.

Just playing devils advocate but even SSN seems to be struggling to keep up tonight

Where's Nineteen Canteen when you need a good debate -
I made it right for you.

Adkins said in his post match interview with Solent that both Hammond and Lallana will be back 'sooner rather than later'. Make of that what you will.
-
And if so he'd be...

A week is a long time in polictics, sorry I mean football. Let's hope he does stay or indeed we get top top dollar for him if he does go. I still think the mostly likely outcome, if there is any movement at all, is a loanback arrangement of some kind.
-
Can't be many managers who've (alledgedly) been offered 4 different jobs in as many months. His stock his high at the moment that's for sure.
-
He's got a GPS fitted to his bus now. Like many I was a little underwhelmed by his appointment but glad to be proved wrong. Still can't quite shake the Brentford game out of my mind but maybe it was just a nightmare and never really happened.
-
Not specific to Adkins but anyone notice the trend of the last couple of years of Managers referring to their Football Club, not just the Club as it used to be. Must be the fashion I guess. Anyway, I'm off to catch the bus before it leaves without me
-
Considering Cortese's statement regarding AOC I think the most likely outcome, if there is any movement at all, would be a buy and loanback arrangement. £10M is a lot, even for us in our relatively financially stable position.

As long as it's not the bus from Speed I'm on it!

Oldham V Saints - Post Match Celebration Thread
Greenridge replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
What a nice feeling to have the momentum that you so often see other clubs have just winning and winning, confidence is massively high and it's a joy to be associated with the Club.
