RB, I'm shocked that you've made such a fundamental error in assuming they'd get paid.

I'd like to think he has, but he'll probably wriggle out of it somehow. By deferring £1.7m in wages that he has no means of repaying, he's surely increased the club's debt, hasn't he? So surely TB is liable for said debt?

OK. Who's the comedian? Or does it need a few of these?

The PWRR is THE SENIOR line regiment in the Army, being one of the 'super regiments' created a few years back that swallowed the Hampshires and Queen's. It has more VCs to its credit than any other British regiment and the 1st battalion of armoured infantry is the backbone of the Regiment. recruits mainly from the south-east of England, including Hampshire. Utterly crazy.

Seems he started as a creative midfielder, then winger http://netherlands.worldcupblog.org/world-cup-2010/alexander-buttner-vitesses-confident-left-back.html

It's the silent majority...

The beneficiaries of Markus' estate. Not knowing the contents of his will, I would imagine that's split between his family and various Trust funds - some, no doubt managed by NC.

There's a kind of irony about Jobsite ending its sponsorship of a bankrupt club that's sacked half of its staff and is trying to get rid of most of the rest.

Makes it a bit more interesting now. See the 'Champions League Bundle' for £47 - good idea.

I too thought Parker had a decent game. But agree that Milner and particularly Young really don't cut it and AL would do a much better job. Oh, and Rooney was absolute ****.

Quite. Perhaps the players could look to Birch to reimburse their deferred wages when it all goes tits up.

Some questions that perhaps Clapham or some other Learned Saint can answer: Surely an administrator's responsibility is to not increase the exposure of creditors' financial indebtedness? Does this include not favouring one creditor over another (secured or otherwise)? Assume the company's assets are finite. By continuing to run the business until the money runs out, particularly deferring footballers' wages, the secured creditors (including football creditors) will end up with an increasingly larger share of any CVA. Therefore are the unsecured creditors seeing a diminishing return the longer it goes on? In the event of liquidation, presumably some of these 'secured' creditors, i.e. the football debts, have to take the same percentage from the proceeds of the liquidation as anyone else? If this is the case, the value of the ground must surely give a better return than the CVA? Sorry if this is going over old ground, but I'm on my hols with my brain in neutral...

PFC reminds me of that Python sketch. The Norwegian 'Blue' is just resting... and Trevor Birch is the Pet Shop Owner.
-
Not a chance. They won't get past the first round in either competition... and of course we enter the League Cup at the second round stage now .

And we're still shown on the Championship page. Does this mean we can have two teams and that Bolton don't exist?

Here's a thought - instead of writing to the PL and FL (who frankly don't give a flying fu ck), perhaps appealing to the sponsors would be more productive. I know the PL is a monster, but how would Barclays react if "doin' a pompey" became endemic? It would certainly be possible with the likes of Liverpool or other large-ish clubs with big debts, if unscrupulous owners took charge. As we know, Barclays have certainly been quick enough call in the overdraft in the past, where they've thought their money was at risk. Any access to rumour mills in the banking fraternity, Trousers?

Skates will not receive further points deduction!

Theoretically of course CVA1 hasn't failed until CVA2 offers less than 100% repayment. -
Also have a mate who's a Burnley fan. Rates him very highly. As for being the bulk of our transfer budget, strikers always come in more expensive, so CM and RM should also be achievable with prudent buying.

The corrupt c**t always has a biased agenda with everything he says. Probably lost a few thousand Euros betting on Bayern. Will never agree with the arrogant bastard on principle.

Can't see why they don't introduce the multi-glass pourers, like Wembley. They also know they're going to sell 'x' hundred pints, so why don't they pre-pour 20 at each station five minutes before half-time. Same with the tea and coffee. Why do they have you queue up and have a runner to get your order when you ask? Tea and coffee are cheap, they make it hot enough to take the roof off the top of your mouth anyway, so again they could pre-pour. Once punters realise they can get a drink quickly (see Blakey's post above), then they'll sell more and make more money. Not difficult to understand, surely?

Happy birthday big man. Never seen anyone since who could out-jump an unimpeded keeper reaching for the ball and head it in the net. As a young kid, I thought that was the norm and couldn't understand why no-one else could jump so high. Message to NC - When are we going to see Ron over here as a matchday guest? Surely something we can afford to do now we're back in the Prem.

Where's the Monkey-Chicken Petting Zoo? Or is that the public tour of the home dressing room?

Anyone monitoring the Lampards' betting patterns?

As for West Africa, we already have a kernel of support in Gambia of course.
