Watching the highlights of Scotland last Friday playing like a WGS side reminded me of the 2 1/2 years he spent with Saints. Apart from the cup final, his post match interviews were priceless. After a win at Liverpool that put us 4th he was asked how he was going to celebrate. 'I am going to have a mars bar and a can of coke and watch teletext' was the reply. Other memories?

Violence at football had subsided by the time I started watching saints but I watched the film green street the other day and it made fan hooliganism seem bad. Was this true of Southampton? Did we have a firm?

It was the first time I'd taken the official coach this year to Wigan since I normally drive. I was working out what a good deal £25 for a return was in comparison to driving or train. It works out slightly cheaper than driving and about half price of the train. In a day when football is expensive everywhere, it came as a surprise. Your thoughts?

I reckon he was more signed as a goal keeping coach rather than a player. His ability is definitely premier league just age has got the better of him imo.

From a safety aspect, which is better, to have a knee high restraint made of PVC or a waist high support made of steel. I'm all for making football safer for supporters so parents feel they can bring their children and older people are well catered for.

Next season will be a very good season especially with United, City, Chelsea and Everton all having managerial changes (and Stoke as well). Think if we stay up this year then we'll submit plans for a stadium expansion although I think that's been discussed enough on this forum.
