This is good. He deserves recognition after his image was ruined with that long argument with the club.

I was reading When Saturday Comes and it did point out that in the vast majority of stadiums, persistent standing takes place. It also pointed out that the most dangerous place to stand is when everyone is celebrating a goal since there is a lot of jumping around. Since everyone stands at this moment anyway, the problem seems to be more out of respect for Hillsborough than actually the safety side of the debate.

Since him and Dave Merrington always commentate on our games, I was curious if anyone knew whether he supported us or not.

Think we've done well this season. Although somewhat weird how we stayed up, it's good building blocks to move this club forward. Onwards and upwards!

I actually agree with it really. Especially at this financial time, when clubs go under a small companies don't get paid, it's unfair. St John's Ambulance didn't get paid by the skates when they went under. This scheme is to stop that happening.

Really pleased they did a lap of honour. One nutjob did a pitch invasion but got a thump when he ran back into the stands and was escorted out by the stewards.

By playing golf and stressing about exams.

I agree with you alpine. Finishing in the PL definitely would have helped us attract more players and to have more money but if it's uncertain who they will be playing for, why risk it? Just because the current manager wants them to play doesn't necessarily mean the next one will (if MP does leave)

It's the epitome of "happy clappy". Tbh, this was a thread posted 3 days ago before all this NC leaving stuff. I think that may have damaged our chances somewhat.
