I, personally, would hate to become a referee but want to know the opinion of people who do referee games. I mean, what is it that appeals you to be them. The amount of abuse they get wouldn't be socially acceptable if they were in the street.

I went to the game with an ex-portsmouth supporter who said he always wanted to support his local team but found the atmosphere down at fratton park too aggressive and the football was horrible. He said it's been a while since he's actually enjoyed a game of football and Sunday was that time when he has. It just put it into perspective for me that, even though we're second from last, some of the football being played on Sunday was premier league standard. I wonder whether any posters on here have forgotten that? And before you say that there should be discussion and people can have there own views, I'm just fed up of saints web becomming a place of doom and gloom. COYR

I think it's naive to think that the goals we let in weren't easily defendable tbh. Someone should have been on Bale for the first goal and the second goal was just our defence asleep. We can take a lot from the game but we have to move on and stop complaining when someone analyses us fairly.
