Friday night was for getting very p!ssed so the Frog & Frigate, or sometimes a crawl down Bevios Valley, followed by either The Escape club, or Aggies, as these were the only places you could get in wearing Jeans. I think DJ Hammy used to do Aggies sometimes. Saturday night was for getting slightly less p!ssed & trying for a fumble/grope/bj/sh@g (classy ) so start in The Bedfords, The Grapes, or The London, then onto New Yorks, Burbanks, Thursdays, Turpins (where all the aforementioned were available & where I met my future wife ) Love the pic of The Top Rank, I'd forgotten what it looked like.

Ludicrous team selection. Utter madness.

If Poch had put out a weakened team against Hull, this place would have been on fire on Tuesday night instead of tonight. -

Yep well spotted, but Sunderland were no better, both teams were poor. They got a worldy & SRL missed a sitter, the whole scenario would have panned out differently if those two incidents had gone the other way. It was a hypothetical question, of course, but my guess is this place wouldn't have been awash with wrist-slashers having a meltdown. -

With the exception of KD & Guly, I don't see many other options we could've used & neither of those two cost us the goal & neither of those two were involved in Lambert missing an open goal from 6 yards. I wonder if those moaning on here about team selection would have had anything to say if that team had won! -
Yep, even the curling team have upped their game in this respect.

John Curry & Amy Williams have won gold. Not a huge list of talent, but they did it nonetheless. Personally I prefer to Winter games to the summer version.

Did anyone else hear MLT get a mention last night? It was during the half-pipe, the commentator said something like "watching -whoever- was like a MLT volley".

Have the military changed their flight paths ???

The Chinooks often fly low over our office & Michelmersh, the whole building shakes & noise is deafening. I assumed (wrongly it seems) they came from Middle Wallop. -
If it's a bespoke one you're after you can do a lot worse than these guys: http://www.applewoodjoinery.co.uk/

Trigger to many tv Viewers, Barty Crouch to fans of Harry Potter. Just heard on the radio that he has passed away aged 70. Sad news Rip

It looks like a recipe for disaster, cyclists (not all, but some) aren't going to sit & wait in those boxes, they'll be off at the first opportunity, you've only got to watch what happens at a red light. Then the driver than runs into them gets the blame, potentially ruining the lives of two families.

Added my vote, incidentally I see the late lamented Truckosaurus has 110 votes.

I took my kids at about 5 years old, there's no problem that sweets, or capri sun can't solve. It may be worth getting an aisle seat as you may be up & down to the lavvy a few times. Just to mess things up, the family section isn't open for the Yeovil match.
-
I was watching it all unfold from the family corner. If you're going to suffer a medical emergency, there probably isn't a better place to do it than a modern premiership stadium, with paramedics & an ambulance or two on hand. Well done to the stewards who had to cope with the masses leaving at the same time the medics wanted to leave. Good luck to the feller, hope he makes a full recovery.

The Tweenies, at the Albert Hall, 12 years ago, not only did the tickets cost a small fortune, so did the spinning-flashing-lighty-up thing that every "had to have".

This isn't really about diving, it's more about the faking of an injury. I don't understand why play has to be stopped, there's no reason why a player can't be treated on the pitch with play continuing (as in rugby). Players play-act in order to cause a delay, if this option was taken away from them, only 'properly' injured players would stay down.
-
I've done it before, also in the Family corner, with no problems.

Get some ridge vents fitted as well, this will cause a cross-flow of air & should (should ) sort it. IIRC my building sciences lessons correctly (it was over 25 years ago, so I'm happy to be corrected), the warm air will remain below the ceiling & will hold the moisture without condensing. Once the temperature below the ceiling falls below the dew-point, condensation will form.

I like the way they've installed mirrors to give the illusion there are loads of journos there. A little like their finances, an illusion.

Rickie's England shirt up (vs Germany) for auction...

The guy must have a heart of gold. I don't think I'd be so generous if I was still only on 4 caps. Well done RL. -
Me too, not as good as Boruc, but better than Gazza. I fear though that the first goal that goes in against him will lead to meltdown on SWF.
-
Blimey indeed. Loved the professionals. RIP William Bodie.
-
If that had been Davis, this place would have been in meltdown calling for him to be dragged through the city & his head placed on a spike at The Bargate, but it's Boruc so I doubt there'd barely be a murmer. The answer to the OP's question: of course we can, we all make mistakes.
