I think it was, it circled over me several times as I was running around Riverside Park.

It was at the Maritime Festival in the docks, during the last bank holiday weekend. It flew over me twice. The first time was on the Sunday whilst I was up at Midanbury, the second time was on the Monday at the festival. It was a hell of a lot closer at Midanbury. A truly awesome sight.

Hoping to, had to bail out last year due to injury not allowing me to train enough to get back before the Saints match. I Haven't started training yet due to a recent knee op, but I'm hoping to get a game of touch rugby in this evening to see how things are. If all goes ok I'll start training next week. I'm just hoping that Saints don't play on the day of the race because I don't expect to get a decent time in, as I've been told I have arthritis in my knee - deep joy.

There is no rule of thumb, we live on the same side of the same road as my parents, about 250yds away, our fence is on the left, theirs is on the right, somewhere between us someone owns neither, whilst someone else has the expense of two boundaries to maintain. As you say, it's marked on your deeds, does your mortgage company or solicitor have these? I don't think the Local Authority will be able to help, but the Land Registry may be able to.

I'm sure I remember him making the bench for at least one 'proper' match. He had his uses, he gave the strikers something to aim at during the warm-up.

My son's hamster died about a year ago. As I was digging the grave, my son was sat on the garden bench behind me, I looked round & he's sat sobbing. I went to give him a cuddle & started myself.

Strange comment. My son's coaches have included a fireman, a former squaddie and a postal worker amongst others. You've never actually been to a rugby match have you!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/22379872 Gutted. I was looking forward to walking to the stadium and having a few leisurely beers whilst sat watching some top class rugby. Looks like Brighton or one of the London stadia will be getting my cash now.

C'mon guys, leave him alone - he's never hurt anyone.

That raised a chuckle. She's forgotten that Channon played 30-odd games for them. -
What an interesting summer we are in for...

As fans, that's about all we can do. It's not for Tisspahars, or anyone else to address, of course we can state our opinions, but we can't do much else can we! I haven't made it past the 3rd post on this topic yet, I wonder what other gems I've yet to unearth. -
Thanks for the tip, fortunately due to the advent of the internet I can buy this sort of stuff & retain my anonymity.

I actually asked the club if I could take a different child other than the one named on the ticket (as it has my son's name on & I was taking my niece), the club told me that as long as she was within the same age group, there wasn't a problem. I have also got through the turnstile with my son's ticket, he wasn't able to go and I left mine at home rather than his . I realised about 10 yards before the turnstile and thought I'd chance it. I have to say in defence of the pretty steward womaning the gate, that I was on crutches at the time, so she may have thought I was using a disabled ticket when the concession lights illuminted.

As someone bought up on rock music & the post punk of Blondie/Jam etc & I've got to confess to having a soft spot for the Pet Shop Boys (but keep it secret). Recently though I bought a Dusty Springfield greatest hits compo, there is some great stuff on there.

Do the good things we've been involved with not fill you with pride?

It was not one of our finest moments, but I would imagine there are very few nations on earth that haven't done something horrific in their past.

Not strictly true, his birth date is not recorded, we do know that he was christened on 26th April & that back then, christenings took place quite soon after birth, so the 23rd is a reasonable guess & of course it makes a nice synergy with his death, but no one actually knows for sure.

When I was a young draughtsman, working in a structural engineers office about 25 or so years ago, the office sport was to swat wasps with scale rule (basically a 30cm ruler to the un-educated). If the wasp was only stunned, a drop of tippex thinners would be applied, it would cause to have some sort of reaction & would curl up & sting itself. The corpse would then be added to the others along the top of the sash window. After a few week though, the cleaner refused to clean near the windows, so after that we'd collect the remains in a milk bottle. We managed to get about a pint-and-a-half worth one year.

I agree, I was actually quite shocked by this, but the others didn't particularly surprise me. -
That didn't take long.

I use to give blood regularly, until I was put on medication 20-odd year ago, which meant I could no longer get a free cup of tea & a biccy, so although I'm on the list, I don't think I can actually donate my organs.

I've spent the last 25 thinking I'd witnessed history. Thank very much.

Phew. I thought Satan has decided enough is enough & sent Thatcher back to us.
