  1. ...or Old Trafford. If Man U can cope, I'm sure we'll manage just fine.
  2. I hope you used real sheperds, there's nothing worse than biting into a meat dish only to find that something different has been used as a cheap alternative.
  3. If it's true, which according to the article isn't necessarily the case, I'd be gutted. I was looking forward to being able to watch some top class rugby right on my door step.
  4. I put everything on credit because I get cash back, it was worth about £200 last year. Sorry/tough if this offends.
  5. My cousins husband regularly gets in on his daughters (u17) season ticket. Not something I'd like to try, for the reason Lord DH alluded too above. Also it's fraud.
  6. I believe that Police initially treat all fatal crashes as a suspicious death and will try and investigate to make sure it was 'only' an accident, rather than a premeditated murder, dressed up to look like an accident. To this end I would assume they would prefer to gather evidence during daylight rather than at night.
  7. Mushrooms (can't get enough of the damn things now), also hated cauliflower & brocolli as a kid, but will tolerate then now. I wasn't a very adventurous eater as a kid, although that was more to do with my father not liking any 'foreign' food, so my mum never cooked anything more than traditional english fare. I'll eat anything now.
  8. Glad I'm not the only one. What a pile of drivel (is that even possible? ). That was probably the most boring Brits I've sat through, James Corden was (predictably) bland, unfunny & totally scripted, although, having said that he seems to have got away with calling Simon Cowell a bastard before the watershed. No onto 1-Dimension, they have ruined two fabulous songs from my formative years, mashing up Teenage Kicks & One way or Another, & making a really weak version sung with no passion or desire. It's unforgivable. Whilst on the subject of No-Direction, what the hell is Harry What's-his-name doing dumping Taylor Swift, she's gorgeous. That too is unforgivable.
  9. One from The Last Leg on Friday night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BlCUgI_Iqc
  10. The Vancouver game was the very first match I went to. I was sat on the bench seats in the West Stand & can clearly remember the 35 yard line (you had to be beyond it to be off-side) & the shoot-out at the end. I don't remember much about saints though, but I remember Greavsie, Ball & David Harvey playing. The programme is one of my treasured prosessions, it is printed on pink paper. It's interesting to see Ray Lewington & Willie Johnston in the line up, the later is most famous for failing a drugs test at the '78 world cup.
  11. The catering staff only serve luke warm coffee for this reason.
  12. We would have been 3 up at half time if he hadn't. He pretty much won it for them.
  13. That's a good call, If I recall correctly Cassells was the transfer target & Wright was a make weight.
  14. I never thought I'd be in plaster, I'm not too happy about that.
  15. Yohan Folley
  16. Roses are red, Violets are glorious, Never sneak up, On Oscar Pistorious
  17. Thanks guys, very informative, especially Viking Warrior. My op is 4 days before the QPR match, SFC have swapped my usual seat for a front row one, so I wont have any stairs to climb. I'm also supposed to be going to a gig that night, but I may give that a miss. I'm hoping this op will improve my running performance, I can only go about 2-3 miles without it hurting for a week or so afterwards, not great traing for the GSR.
  18. I'm guessing that a large proportion of contributors to this fine forum have regularly played football, and that a proportion of those have had problems with their knees, possibly resulting in a bit of key-hole. I'm having surgery on one of my knees in a couple of weeks, apparently my cartilage needs a scrape & polish, and would welcome any advice. What I'd like to know is how long afterwards will it take for me to get mobile (I believe I'll have crutches), are stairs manageable, and how long before I can drive again? Cheers, DG
  19. ......or picked her lock?
  20. He could be taking QPR back there next season.
  21. After today I wouldn't drop either Hoover or Yosh, Forren & Fonte will have to work hard & earn their places.
  22. City were like my tea tonight....battered.
  23. Bloody hell, I can't believe that. The midfield was awesome, Jack Cork especially. A word for Hooiveld as well, since he's been back I don't think he's put a foot wrong. Today is a good day to be a Saints supporter.
  24. For me & the kids it was about £1000 for this season, that's pretty much my limit. In fact this season I was going to bail out & keep the kids going, but the youngest didn't want to go with his big brother & my Mrs finally convinced me to do the deed (I think she may have 'plans' for when me & the kids are out:suspicious: ). We shall see come renewal time, but I think this may be my last season, unless we should get relegated, which will obviously lead to a price cut. (we don't have a flying pig emoticon)
  25. Two of his songs mean a great deal to me, Wild Thing & Love Is All Around. The former being a song that had the lyrics changed, and was one of the highlights of Friday nights at The Frog & Frigate in the late 80's/early 90's. The latter, albeit the Wet Wet Wet version, was our first dance at our wedding, when it was No.1. Also well known for investigating crop circles. Rip Sir, and thanks for some great memories.
