  1. It's either Samuel L Jackson or Morgan Freeman.
  2. St Joan, I saw the same thing, Thompson crossing to Rasiak. The funny thing is he headed a few easy ones wide during half time! Thank god he got those out of his system, his goals were class and unfortunately what we will need this season (i'm assuming he will leave)
  3. Yeah I agree. Left looks pretty sorted especially if Holmes gets back in the mix. Lallana no doubt has quality but I don't think right is where he should be. Apart from Thompson (who i'm not convinced should be a starter), who exactly do we have? Lloyd James people say is better in the centre. Which brings another question to mind - why was he left out and would you even play him?? Your opinions would be welcome!
  4. Must have missed that one! I've always rated him and think he will be very important at CB this season...Lancashire and Perry anyone? Not for me thanks! (although I actually quite rate Perry).
  5. Mills our poorest player!!!??!??? That is the stupidest statement i've ever heard. He was MOTM for me.
  6. To be honest i'd be happy with Aidy Boothroyd, Paul Jewell, Alan Pardew, Paul Tisdale, Nigel Pearson, Steve Coppell, Gordon Strachan, Alan Curbishley. They are all managers above us in terms of league position so we should feel lucky if we get any of them. I'd be well chuffed!
  7. HEEEEYYY YYYYOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU GGUUUUUUYYYYYYYYYYSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! Just got my first season ticket, block 34 Kingsland. Just so I can sing 'we're kingsland, we're kingsland...' ...but still sit down like an old man!
  8. Damn right - they'll thank him for it in the long run.
  9. I want to get my first season ticket and am a bit gutted that it will be roughly £350, but hey. However, why is renewing your ticket in the centre £1 cheaper, but renewing in the Northam/wings £54 cheaper???
  10. I have nothing against any of them but...does it make sense to sign 3 strikers who have all had a substantial time at the club? I personally would like it as i think Euell will be good in midfield and the other 2 up front, but i dont think it will happen. Part of me doesn't want to see these kinda players leave, but another part of me wants a new start.
  11. It was an OG, but the assist was from OG!! ha.
  12. No mention of Tessem on the OS updates...wonder if he's touched the ball!? Playing as a striker too. Can't say i'd be too excited about him being our striker this season.
  13. Is it a bit odd that when asked if he had a name for the manager he said we have 'several names'. I assumed that they were so close to a take over that they would be ready to name the ONE man they want straight away? Or is that just me?
  14. I'm very sorry :-)
  15. Just caught the very end of that interview - who was the guy with the shades saying 'i'm very very confident the deal will go ahead'???
  16. Nick G - the pink just had a run through about all the potential managers and their achievements. Someone has posted them on the 'candidates for the manager' thread.
  17. After having time to reflect on my vote I'd like to change it. I voted for Ian Dowie, just because he is a big name, but after reading this saturdays Pink and generally reasearching out of interest, i'd like to go for PAUL TISDALE closely followed by STEVE COTTERILL (who isn't on the pole anyway). I think their knowledge of the lower leagues will be priceless.
  18. I'm very likely to buy my first season ticket this season - fresh start an all. Been put off by the price before but hopefully will be more reasonable. The only thing that may stop me is whether or not I can find a mate willing to purchase one with me!
  19. I've got goosebumps!!!! Fingers crossed! COYR
  20. Seems to be a debate about Smith on here, I for one think he is **** and am very suprised he has stayed on for 2 games. Listened to watford on radio and they were wingeing about his touch and end product. today I agreed, runs at players but then does nothing. I actually though McGoldrick was playing reasonably well and could have been moved to the wing instead - i know he's not a true winger but he's a better player. 10 points this season please!
  21. OMG that looks horrific!! I agree with Plumstead then - Sat is our last chance to show what we got.
  22. Here's mine...didn't look at it until the end - more exciting that way! 16 Plymouth 53 17 Watford 52 18 Derby 51 19 Notts Forest 51 20 Southampton 49 21 Norwich 47 22 Barnsley 47 23 Blackpool 43 24 Charlton 36 May have been a bit unkind to Barnsley and Blackpool as they are kind of the 'forgetable' teams IMO
  23. I think thats a good team personally. I have no problem playing Gillet instead of Morgan, tho if its not working obviously that would be a good sub. Great to see Saga starting WITH McGoldrick. Would expect to see Kayne used as a sub as well as Eeull. COYR!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. 'I'd put Surman in place of Mills, Wotton in place of Surman, and McGoldrick in place of Scakel' I must admit I didn't see the Norwich game, so if surman was good next to Cork then i'm prob wrong. I just quite like Wotton and was tryin to find a place for him. As for Fish - again fair play if he was good last time, but i've seen him twice and not been that impressed - seems like the 'youngest' of the young ones if ya know what I mean. Glad Sats game is on SKY, surely we'll neat the curse this time!
  25. I'd put Surman in place of Mills, Wotton in place of Surman, and McGoldrick in place of Scakel
