Why is there no POLL yet for 'who do you want as manager'!??

Yeah, I said a week or so ago that I thought Jaidi had half a season as first choice next to Fonte, but his recent performances coupled with Martin's recent performances means i'd def give Martin his chance. Would love to know the resoning behind getting Seaborne instead of Elliot Ward. I must admit I know nothing about Ward, but when we were close to signing him people thought he'd be a sure fire starter. I just have a horrible feeling that one poor inexperienced performance by Martin and people will jump on his back and say that we need a better centre back. Do people still thinking pulling out of the Ward deal was a huge mistake?

I do love your rants! Some may be of the opinion that enjoying food and drink has always been associated with social occassions and interactions, so it is quite fitting at a football match - drink, chat, eat, moan etc. Damn that M&S coffee!!

Turkish please shed some light as to why you are so against anyone eating or drinking at a football match. I can only assume you were abused by a fat pint as a child?

I must admit I can't be arsed to go. I was but then remembered that last season most of the cup games had a horrible influx of chavvy teenagers which resulted in a slightly tense and less enjoyable than normal night. I feel a bit baa humbug but hey!

I'm so angry at this news. Had a lot of faith in Pardew, I liked him from the start and he grew on me from then on. I'd go as far as saying he was my favourite manager since I became obsessed with saints 8 years ago. Also just read 'Taking Le Tiss' and it sticks in my mind what a joke he thought having so many managers in such few years was - what would he think about this! Joke! - This is Pardew's team, now a new manager has to do most of the hard work again.

I think the problem with this would be no hardman in midfield. Would be fine when attacking, i.e. first 15mins of today, but once we lose our way, I can imagine that midfield getting swamped. I actually quite like the sub idea pardew had of taking Hammond off, putting puncheon in the middle and letting OXO have a go at injecting some life. Although preferably I would want a new signing for centre mid and a new winger.

I've changed my mind, we do need three players. In order of preferance - Central midfielder, Striker, Winger

Me and my firend have this discussion after every game, and we tend to always agree that Hammond hasn't done enough since he's come here and agree he needs competition. As people have said he is IMO an average league one midfielder and I would prefer the captains armband went elsewhere. However I have always been sensible enough to know that I know very little and it is Pardew who must see good reasons to select him. I like te fact that he puts his foot in and agree if we replaced him we would need another 'battler', only better! I also see glimpses of greatness from Morgan, but have been very suprised over the last year or so at the amount of people who think he is exceptional. I nearly ALWAYS walk away from games thinking he has been pretty average. I do however think he would shine with a really good attacking midfielder next to him.

I really can't wait until the beer license changes. Out of interest what's the 'new' food like? I noticed a lot of pasties for sale, any good/better than before?

I remember that game and completely agree. I remeber him at the Chapel end at half time having balls floated into him practicing headers. I remember that as he scored an almost identicle goal when he came on!

I agree completely. Getting so fed up with the rubbish that occurs on most threads. IMO nearly every thread that is started is quite interesting and relevant, but 9/10 times before long it has gone off on such a tangent there's no point in reading it. Summed up beautifully by the fact that I have just read two threads that have been nothing but a slagging match, one of which was closed - brilliant!
