  1. I agree with this 100%. Really loved Antonio and Papa by the end of the season.
  2. From my limited knowledge of him (that youtube vid posted earlier) I would have to agree. Although I quite rate Connoly and Barnard, I would love to see if Jackson could break with his pace from Lambert flick on's, something the other two don't excell at. For what it's worth I loved that goal of his on the youtube clip where he muscled his way through the middle of their two CB's!
  3. Certainly an interesting one - what's your take on harding then? replaced or moving position?
  4. Ha hilarious! Every time I heard his name I imagined old man Jim walking on!
  5. I think some people are getting a bit ahead of themselves. Dickson may be Brentford's best player, but that is BRENTFORD. There's no way AP bought him to replace Harding. Either Harding is going to move to right back or Dickson will have to fight for Harding's place, not the other way round.
  6. Don't mind the banner as a whole, but HATE the font for the 'Saints Web' - looks like the Beano or Dandy.
  7. Completely agree - that is lovely!
  8. I would pesonally advise you go for an XL. I don't know what chest I am but i'm often between medium and large with all other clothes. I bought a medium but i'm starting to think I should have gone for a large - the sash rubs on my nipply(!) whereas my friend who is skinnier also got a medium and as he so delightfully told me - 'my nipple is more in the red part of the sash, hence no rubbing!' I've shared too much...
  9. Cheers for the pic Um Bongo - looks good. some things you don't notice in the official pics. I didn't realise it had the 'old school' polo shirt collar - quite rugby like. hopefully get mine soon.
  10. I thought Licka could have been really good for us, but another of those out of favour players for us. I'd have him and safri back anyday - but not Marcel.
  11. What a joke though! Wouldn't mind at all had they not said 'a few days' on tuesday.
  12. My Brentford supporting mate said he's their best player - so that'll do for me!
  13. I'd love him back. Really think he'd be bang up for being part of the 'rejuvanation' of the Saints and could be a real leader. Doubt he'll come tho
  14. No you moron. If you look at my post I am saying that it is out of order that you (or rather not YOU) should have to wait that long and subsequently miss 10 mins of the game. Between the three of us who have season tickets we usually take it in turns to go down 5 minutes early to get the beers in, and even then the queue's are to the back wall. So to answer your rather aggressive question, YES I do consider a half time beer with my mates important enough to miss 5 mins and the odd goal. And if you look at the majority of the posts on this thread it would suggest so do a lot of other people. And by the way, considering NC is a business man, i'd imagine that he would consider reducing the queue's and therefore earning a lot more money to be quite a pressing issue. And your laughable assumption that all football fans that buy a pint or any food are 'gutty ****s' makes me wonder whether you used to be an obese alcoholic who now has a slight complex about socialising around beverages!??
  15. Love it. Someone sets up a thread asking what improvements people would like to see at the ground, which was generally an interseting thread. Then we get this thread moaning at the people who gave their opinions! Apart from the guy who said the PA system 'ruins' his day (who was either joking or a prat) the people were just honestly saying what would make their day that little bit better, not that they only go to the football for that reason. We ALL go because we love football and the Saints, seeing our mates, having a break from home life etc. And I don't mind saying that having to go down to the bar at 35-40 mins to stand any chance of getting a beer p*sses me right off and isn't good enough. I'm sure NC knows this and is addressing it.
  16. The only one I am gutted and suprised about is Kayne. I thought he looked really exciting when he played. A little gutted about Thomas as well, but that's thinking with my heart rather than my head, I agree we have enough CB cover and can get better RB's.
  17. Haha! I can't help it - i'm like an excitable child after a few pints!
  18. More Mexican waves!!!
  19. I'd love Chaplow to come - if he's anything like he was when we last had him. great competition for hammond.
  20. Me too, something tells me they won't be selling Old thumper though!!
  21. I think this is a decent post and pretty much how I saw it. I thought the obvious sub was Wotton off, Antonio on and move Puncheon inside. or just Antonio for Puncheon. James for Wotton was a joke. I'd also like to say how dissapointed (that's an understatement!) I was at all the HOOF ball. Seen it rear it's head too much this season for no real reason - so many of the players were guilty of it tonight. WE ARE A FOOTBALLING TEAM - KEEP IT ON THE GROUND!
  22. I would say he 'scurried' off! Terrible decision to bring him on anyway. Question pardews tactics with this one - still thought barnard was looking lively. (P.S- So that's why u were so quiet in th eback of the car Shaun, posting on the saints forum!)
  23. I've only watched the penalty once, but it looked like a penalty to me. Jose's legs almost seemed to slip out from under him as he tried to block the player, but there was definate contact and it didn't seem that their player knocked him over to me. He's aloud one slip up - Jose Fonte baby!
  24. Ha! I'm not usually negative but didn't think it was our best game. But do agree it was a fantastic result. I've turned into my worst knightmare - one of the moaners! I do appologise!
  25. I thought Puncheon was rubbish, semi ok and Seabourne good. But I thought Hammond and Morgan were rubbish. No doubt some people thought they had blinders!
