  1. Moyes was also in the stands yesterday. You heard it here first!
  2. After many trips to various doctors, he sorted my slipped disc out in about 10 minutes at his clinic on the corner of Hill Lane and Milton Road. Brilliant physio. RIP Don.
  3. Nah, it was this bloke
  4. Didn't realise Albert McCann still played for them. (One for the oldies on here!)
  5. I was hugely better off in the 70's in real terms than I am now, as was most of the population. I was a union member, I am therefore scum apparently.
  6. We laugh in the face of a mere £20m.
  7. My gran could have scored that - and she's been dead forty years.
  8. Don't patronise me - I understand plenty about Test cricket having watched it for over half a century. All i am saying is that it will inevitably die if a satisfactory result cannot be achieved after five days (OK four) of mostly negative play from both sides for the sake of ten minutes at the end - at least Clarke was trying to make a game of it with his declaration. The TCCB need to replace those light meters with some common sense.
  9. Sorry, but that's bollix. Test cricket is struggling to survive, this sort of thing doesn't help. 4 overs left FFS, with the floodlights on.
  10. On a more positive note - at least the nets have retained the stripes.
  11. I see Real Madrid have left their no. 11 shirt vacant for Bale's arrival. So have we!! A late swoop by Cortese? Gareth coming home? Now that WOULD be ambition. PS I am not serious.
  12. i think that is a possibility
  13. Banega now at 5/6 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/ever-banega/club-after-summer-transfer-window
  14. Blimey - front page of The New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2013/08/19/sports/soccer/19reuters-soccer-england-southampton-osvaldo.html?hp&_r=0
  15. As we're all going to be Accrington fans on Saturday I'm happy to report that they're winning 2-1 at Middlesbrough with 5 minutes left. Maybe Beatts boys are better than we thought!
  16. Took an ex to watch a match against Everton in about 1984. We were in the Milton and there was a cloudburst and got absolutely soaked. And we lost. Her fault of course.
  17. Beary, I practically worships you! I would have your babies! But for all that unpleasantness beforehand. Yo!
  18. I 4-1 am loving this!
  19. Surely Carrefour is a French poormarket. It wasn't exactly Fortnum and Mason when it was in Chandlers Ford, anyway.
  20. Aldi and Lidl are fine - but I wish they'd sort their checkouts. The conveyor belts are about 25 yards long, but the packing area is about the size of a dustbin lid. So while you're desperately trying to shove your purchases in bags before they fall on the floor, the checkout girls are whizzing stuff through as fast as they can making things even more awkward. I'm sure the sods do it on purpose.
  21. The Cortese Megadome. Obviously
  22. Really, really difficult to find the actual result on their official site. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the match report past all the stuff about them being a huge club now because they'll be visiting Elland Road, Loftus Road and the City Ground. Then almost as an afterthought they list the Real Madrid scorers. But nowhere on the entire site is there anything resembling: AFC BOURNEMOUTH 0 - 6 REAL MADRID It's almost as if they're a bit embarrassed.
  23. He could afford to buy the pub TBF
  24. The latest word people can't spell anymore. FFS. I know, I know.
