On one of the workouts Sporting goalkeeper Quim had suffered an achilles tendon injury. This made the club interested in signing the young Bialkowski, which would be a substitute to number one Eduardo. Nice name!

They used to do some very good shows at Southampton Rugby Club (Millbrook) about 25 years ago. They were lovely and apparently came from Bournemouth. Probably a bit rough now though:o

Same as last year "season ticket voucher booklet" Not impressed - all these new machines have nothing to do with the turnstiles.

I can ride a bike without falling off - seems these c*nts need stabilisers

A certain GP practice in Romsey has certainly provided medical services to both Saints and P*mpey in recent seasons, where at least one of the partners has a keen interest in sports medicine. They appear as a creditor of that that down the road in their CVA documentation.

ML seems to have more birthdays than the queen.

They had this system at the Rose Bowl when I went to Aus-Eng match a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if it's in operation for county fixtures though.

I updated my details, and just as well I did. I moved house 6 months ago, and informed the club. When I renewed my ST they had my new address in their system, but when I used this site I had to enter my old postcode and sure enough they had my old address. Presumably they would have sent my ST there. Probably still will. I reckon they've had a ****-up on their database - so i recommend everyone to check their details online. Sorry about post 22 - I hit return and can't amend (maybe I'll cough up that fiver one day)

What I mean is nobody played crap on purpose - why would they? Anybody who's a regular at SMS knows that bad performances happen - I can think of Brighton and Oldham last season for a start. That's football.

Care about England or not - there is no way Rooney or any other player would want to put in a crap performance at the World Cup, even for only selfish reasons any player would want to enhance their global reputation. I don't believe any player would not give 100% in that situation.

Did you really think that the RSPB would condone shooting any bird? The clue's in their name.

He was also a sneaky player, always having little digs at the opposition. Interestingly, I think I am correct in saying, like Lineker, never booked. Mind you, in those days you practically had to amputate someone's leg with a tackle to get booked!

Ah, well time plays strange tricks to memory, and you're right, Thompson wasn't in the squad, but IMO he should have been! To those posters who are so astonished that Paine was in the squad I would say that there was never a trickier or more accomplished winger, opposing sides would regularly put three players on him and as often as not would beat all three in about 5 yards. Also he had that skill where he could put the ball right on Ron Davies head, every time. It has always amazed me that from any situation, dead ball or otherwise, modern players have such difficulty in delivering an accurate cross - League One or World Cup - it seems to make no difference. I can't believe it's down to the players skill - it must be the modern ball. Especially as that f*cking ball which is ruining this World Cup. Terry and Peter Thompson (the left-winger in the squad) never really got a look in as Ramsey decided to play his "revolutionary system" dubbed "wingless wonders" at the time. Glad Terry got his medal in the end though. Still got his 'Ampshire accent lol

Would you rather go out to the Germans or the Argentinians ?

Too young to have seen Pele then? Genius - over 1000 goals says so - and his performance in the 1970 World Cup was unbelievable. -
Why anybody would ever bet on the outcome of a golf tournament is beyond me. Notoriously unpredictable, form goes out of the window, and 155 contenders in the field. And crap odds - the bookies must love it.

hmm. Falla wins second set. game on!

Science revision required.

And a Grade 1 CSE was supposedly equivalent to an O-level. Unfortunately employers took a different view - much the same as today's employers and universities who understand the real value of modern school qualifications - particularly in maths and the sciences.

I know from personal experience that HMRC (or Customs & Excise as it was then) do not let go once they have their teeth in. Pompey will not get away with this - HMRC are effectively the law, and if they say the figure owed is 32m then that's it, whatever AA says. He can appeal, but he won't win - he's effectively taking on the UK government.

Already fed up with McCarthy and his mate creaming their pants about the Spanish

But they're not guaranteed bums on seats are they? So there'll be a lot of large half-empty grounds - especially as the ticket prices keep increasing and Joe Public feels even more of a squeeze.
