Mods! That is surely an infraction.

.. before hitting the buffers.

I don't know anything about him really so therefore he's rubbish!! Works for me.
-
They go abroad for medicals!!! ;-)
-
Fancy them spending all that money on Pardew when they could have had you ;-)
-
That's the spirit. Makes you proud to be a Saints fan!

Big boss Ladbroke, or whoever he is, cannot be present for every transaction carried out by an employee. Some of them are not the sharpest tacks in the box and that is why the betting rule book exists and will over-ride errors made by an employee's negligence. Simples. Sad for the punter but there you go.

We're signing the Yeti!!!? Does he have a work permit?

You are the only one who seems to have a problem with it.

I find it difficult to understand why some posters (DD and co) find it difficult to understand that the club has handled this situation badly. It was fairly self-evident that, being a SATURDAY cup tie we would have a normal Saturday attendance. In fact I predicted it on the previous thread on this. So why p!ss off a significant number of your loyal support (i.e. season ticket holders who wanted their own seats) by indulging in some petty penny pinching. How much money did they really save? And how many fans will in future wait to buy their tickets because they didn't like the seats they were allocated when they booked early this time round - I know a few. And, for what it is worth - one of the reasons that the Northam was so subdued yesterday (from where I was sitting the Luton fans were twice as loud) was that the normal Northamites were diluted by less vocal fans who had simply been allocated there rather than WANTING to be there. I hope that they learn from this and revert to normal practice next time.

Depends on who the fan is. My opinions are always impeccable - not so sure about yours though ;-)
-
And posts like these suggest you should post less.

He was always available to the man who had the ball and was constantly switching play. Probably the most influential player on the field. I tossed up between him and Thomas and opted for the latter in the end because he did most to keep Luton at bay when they were at their most dangerous.

Yes - it bothers me that a player has only to have a couple of bad games with us - especially at the outset- to be condemned as useless for the rest of their career. Mind you, even self-evidently good players were condemned. Oakley had no shortage of critics when he was with us.

I think that the point is that he does it pretty well. He and Lallana are both class acts.
-
Perhaps it should ;-) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

I thought they were South American beasts related to camels!! I never thought of trying them out on the wing ;-) But you could be right!

Alan Blayney made the best save ever aginst Alan Shearer but I don't think we would argue to get him back. I've only seen Bart once this time round and he did OK but did not convince me he was better than Kelvin. I guess that is another one which I will leave to AP. That's what he is paid for and its him, not me, wot loses his job if he is consistently wrong.

Nothing that I have seen of Mills suggests for a single second that he should be in the team ahead of James. I think that James is probably one of the first names on the team sheet for Pardew and, with respect, I would back his judgement against yours any day.

I don't agree with the sentiments expressed here but I do understand them. I am really enjoying watching my team at the moment. But if we follow a natural progression we will enjoy watching our team winning in the Championship and then Premership. We do have money behind us now. However, the downside of the premiership is that dropping out of it costs so much money that teams are **** scared of losing and it makes for a lot of very dull games. btw I hope Bolton get relegated - their **** of chairman has been trying to make moves to pull the ladder up behind him. Fortunately rejected by anyone with any sense of what is fair or not fair.

If there was I guess someone would have posted it ;-)

Giggs is a credit to himself, his team and the sport he plays. The fact that he is still performing to a very high standard at the age of 35 is, imho, far more worthy of winning the sports personality award than someone whose -one year only- achievement is inextricably linked with the machinery he sits in. Perhaps if he wins several F1 titles in succession then possibly. Having said that the BBC's advance publicity should be making clearer just what a standard the contenders - such in the minor sports -such as Cavendish (cycling is a minority sport in this country) - have achieved. Tony McCoy was not even in the top 10 but year after year wins the Jump Jockeys title. Certainly he is given good horses to ride, but so are the best of his rivals but he still keeps winning. The whole sports personality thing is based on such short term, populist things as to be a waste of time

Fries with that? ;-)

You are right - he was in a league of his own when it came to penalty taking. I don't believe the pressure of scoring in an international is any more pressure than knowing that if you miss your team can be relegated.

18k would undermine any justification for closing the Kingsland. That is a normal crowd. I do not understand why people are getting sniffy when the club are being challenged about closing a stand when there is unlikely to be any need for it.
