Getting into individual opinions on suitable replacements is a very debate.... I doubt we would agree on Pelligrinos choices let alone our own. However he made a complete dogs dinner of team selection and most certainly of tactics. In my view he dropped players straight after a good performance. He changes tactics straight after changing them reasonably successfully for a short time in the Stoke game he then goes back yet again to his plan ‘A’ for the Newcastle game! Don’t know if you were at Newcastle but it was the culmination of a season of amateur Management. He has now gone and deserved to !

It’s the fault of the manager if he keeps picking them regardless. Errrr if you don’t score goals you will get relegated so yes you do need goal scorers ..... if you call that ‘delusional’ I would disagree with you.

Ummmmm when our players did score and play well they were promptly dropped. It spent 20m on a player who didn’t score in nine games, looked very average and didn’t drop him... I think this was a typical e ample of his poor management amongst many more.... At the end of the day MP a good bag of tools spent millions on another one and just wasn’t savvy enough to manage well...

This is it. It’s not all about formations. If the midfielders are fit and join the sole attacker quickly then the formation can be fluid depending on if we are in possession, however if we are not fit, motivated and specifically instructed to crowd the centre of the pitch when we are in possession then there is an issue as we have seen to monotonous boredom and frustration.

You have to say better than the Clown and run with it. The damage has already been done and he deserves every ounce of support we can muster. Maybe, just maybe Hughes has learnt some valuable lessons in his career and can put his experience to good use here. Positives to be taken ... Apparently he is an arrogant bar steward so that could be exactly what we need just now....

God you are bitter and over protective.... 20m player can at least be expected to offer more than he has! Yes the tactics have been terrible which on the one hand you highlight but have only a simplistic view of and others who watch the game in more detail are not allowed an opinion on! When you can allow others to have a detailed opinion and offer a DETAILED opinion of your own then that might make sense. I have set out why he has been poor so far and why alternatives are better even given the terrible tactical ability of the previous Manager. Carrillo has made one fortunate assist so far and lacks most attributes a Premiership forward needs - so far, and yes a dozen games is enough to make an initial assessment. Sims has played less and looks great or would disagree with that too - too early to judge perhaps? Yes we will see but so far pretty terrible and no better than anyone we already have on the books or out on loan.

The first question to ask a new prospective manager in interview is: What is our best first eleven because he should know.....

He doesn’t have a football brain I’m afraid. Just never in the right place, never moving to lose his marker and make himself available and not able to make chances for himself or anyone else. Doesn’t even look anything like a Premiership footballer.... Gabbiadini is on the move all the time and can score a goal by making a chance when one doesn’t exist. I think Carillo needs everything on a plate but even then he would probably not be in the right place. Gabbiadini is such a more occomplished player...
