  1. No we don't, agreed, however we also need to get cheating and nasty like they were or we will always be second best. Bringing on Rimirez is mostly a total disaster and today as usual proved to be the same. We need to look at the issues - we don't have a goal scorer...... Replacing our key midfielders with Rimirez DOES NOT CUT IT!!!!!! When will Pochitino realise that wrecking the midfield just messes up our game ........... We are dominating but not scoring - I know, lets bring Wanyama and Rimirez on !!!! ehhhhh why ??????? We then lose control of the game??? errrrrr yes this happened last week, the week, before and before that and before that and that...........I know lets do the same against Palace! Good idea !!! Lets change the part of our play which is working i.e. the midfield dominators and go for a strategy of not creating chances and not dominating midfield. But we are not scoring goals and yet we are creating chances so why not concentrate on the very forward players??????? Why not concentrate on this area??? I really do think Pochitino needs someone beside him who can rationalise the issues. Rimirez is not the solution, in fact he is more often than not the problem along with a lack of strike power... When we attack we have no one in the box - PROBLEM! Ricky cannot get there quickly enough PROBLEM! For Christ sake stop looking to the defensive midfielders for a way through this.... Don't bring an unfit Wanyama on - think about it........ The midfield was working it was our most forward players where the issue was and has indeed been most weeks............ If you can't grasp this then we are never going to move on...... Remember you defend from the front and misfiring attackers just put more pressure on our defence who need some help........ I am afraid to say that more and more our manager makes irrational decisions when it comes to substitutions and changing games. If the problem is missing chances then, is the answer an out of form, unfit Wanyama??????? or a wasteful Ramirez ? Evidently not......... But lets try it a few more times - just for old times sake! Get a grip and change your thinking MP, your strategy has been failing for quite some time now..........
  2. Errrrrr no .......quite the opposite. Ramirez cannot retain possession just like England that is where the problems lie for both !! !!!

    Wanyama

Wrong has played poorly since his injury and on current form not good enough.
  4. A dive for the last goal they are cheats. However we need to be tougher kick them more and get a goal scorer!
  5. Oh dear what on earth will wanyama do ???????
  6. I Sorry but wanyama a truely poor decision to bring him on. Gallagher yes but Wanyama no way!!!!!! Really really bad decision we will sacrifice midfield utter nonsense ...
  7. Offside all day big teams get big decisions ! It came of us but. 'When the ball was passed he was offside. !
  8. This an excellent observation
  9. When the ball was 'passed' swarez was offside !
  10. This isn't Facebook btw !
  11. I really do not get this 'it's not their fault' that that they are on the pitch' Yes it is actually they are paid big money to play to this standard and if they are not up to it plainly they can walk away, there is not one thing stopping them saying Im not good enough and walking away..... They know who they are but they like the money. There is nothing heroic or loyal in that and they do no one any favours except themselves. We need to strengthen the squad and invite them to find their level elsewhere. It's as simple as that really...
  12. Yes we were just saying the same thing..... Just goes to show again that our strength in depth just isn't there. Out side of the first 11 there is very little to call on.... Quite a clear out still required .....
  13. Ummm they were terrible but I thought they were marginally improving in last couple if games. Just shows how lucky we are at the moment. Ponch gets a few things wrong but not many and particularly recently is really learning who to bring on for who and when... He is even learning to leave Cork on the field! Can't fault Ponch at the moment - sorry seem to have drifted off subject ! :-)) Yes - Fulham - pity because they are a nice club but with a team if very average to older below average players so what do they do.....Too late for a rebuild even though they brought in - five players was it in the window.... I think the game we played them at St Mary's was the most one sided game I have ever seen us play, 8-0 wouldn't have flattered us, Fulham were truly appalling.
  14. Crikey a bit harsh. We are integrating youngsters faster than Jimmy Saville! Christ how many more can we sqeeze in? Let's maintain momentum not crush all our hard work this year by going overboard. One step at a time.....
  15. A good player and a very good manager. Oh we can all criticise at times but his football isn't bad you know..... So far would mark him a strong 8 out of 10 this season and that might be harsh me thinks...
  16. I'm sorry but is this a traffic forum or a serious Saints Forum. There seems to be a drift on this forum away from serious football debate. Looking elsewhere .........
  17. Pathetic thread
  18. You don't need to be a 'football person' to have common sense... Cortese wasn't a 'football' person. Complete fallacy that this is a prerequisite to run a football club....it's business decisions at the end of the day. Katherine does not take the team for training does she and doesn't decide on whether it's 442 or 4411 but she is obviously a very good business woman so let's leave her to run the club and stop pretending that football people always know best- they don't !
  19. Desperate news at a very young age we will need to cut Sam some slack for quite a time .... God Bless
  20. Are there many better centre backs around than Fonte? IMO he has been at least on a par with Lovren.... It's the backup that has been a concern....
  21. Sorry mate but he was really poor today and your relating that fact to some sort of a negative towards a poster who speaks the truth does nothing to promote any other theory than we were poor with Wanyama playing when he evidently is either not good enough or rusty.... Trolling or what ever has nothing to do with it - just stick to the subject please. In my opinion he is nowhere as good as Cork whoever we are playing but he may just start passing more accurately in the future . However, right now, he needs to improve.... Great team performance second half with Cork playing and Ricky slightly deeper well done Ponch for getting it right second half ....
  22. Oh dear Wanyama Cork on now
  23. This makes perfect sense
  24. QPR and Fulham are much smaller clubs than us! We are now worth 150m plus don't kid your self that we are worth less that Fulham ! Our nearest rival in the prem is about 75 miles away !!! No other premiership club can boast such a distance to their competitors except maybe Norwich ......... We have a great team and fan base plus infrastructure we are worth more than Fulham..... By the way QPR must show a loss of 100m and their crappy ground can't be worth much so who would want them ? Don't think you can count the building value on the ground as an assett either as plainly without a pitch you have nowhere to play!!!!!!!!! The tv income alone now is £95m plus ???? And someone values us at £80m - do me a favour!!!!!!!!!!!! The potential profit is huge. Larger companies are now sold also on potential too . Soooo wake up , this business is worth a lot of money..... Business sense tells us now is the time to cash in - however to see the potential reach it's conclusion might be attractive to the owner so we never know..,,,,,…
