  1. I heard that as well. I have no idea of what he is on about. I cannot remember any contentious decisions going our way. I suppose if we listen to idiots on c r a p py radio stations we shoud expect to hear rubbish.
  2. Paxman ripped her to shreds the other day on Newsnight. She was made to look very second rate. Very good at quoting slogans and mouthing off but incapable of any sort of logical, reasoned defence of her views. Rather silly and slightly thick to be honest. Mind you. She is probably an intellectual in portsmouth.
  3. Ah well. True to form you appear on a knocking thread. How many times is it this season you have predicted that Adkins will be sacked?? Why do you continue to besmirch the name of a great man such as Charlie Wayman with your postings ?? If we are one celled amoebas on here why don't you disappear off to join your skate mates along with our mate Neil aka the Watcher. I am sure that you and he will feel at home with the other members of the blue phew.
  4. I understand that many bookies in the Reading area have gone bust this evening. It would appear that most people in Reading backed Neptune Collonges in the Grand National. Apparently the National Lottery organisers in the area are fearing the worst this evening!!
  5. Love it.
  6. Porky Penny on Newshight now getting a real grilling from Paxman. She is completely out of her depth. She should stick with the inbred pikeys who think the world shines out of her whatsit
  7. If you think that things are bad now with pundits wait until next season. We will be everybody's favourites to go down. The Times this year had us to finish c 16th. I doubt if next season anyone will have us that high in their predictions. Bearing in mind that we seem to play badly whenever on national TV (Blackpool, Leicester , Leeds) you can perhaps see why we are underrated. Lets hope so , so that we can take the Premiership by storm in the same way as we have taken the Championship
  8. 30 years ago I think this may have been the case. Nowadays however the "big" Premiership clubs are so far up the ar s e of the Champions League that there is no way that they would appoint someone who has not enjoyed success in the Portuguese third division or the Italian tiddlywinks league. How can Liverpool possibly appoint someone who has not even appeared on a Sky pundits panel??
  9. When we played theem a few years ago and drew 1-1, the stewarding was shocking. Yhe stewards were xausing problems and were picking fights with supporters. They do not seem to have changed.
  10. LOL.That really is funny.
  11. Adrian Heath. Need I say any more?
  12. Too bl88dy right. The bed wetters on here defy belief.
  13. Agree entirely. Stick together and we win this league - its as simple as that.
  14. I have just woken up having dreamt that Jose missed the game as he has just gone out on loan to Stoke. Pullis was quite open in my dream that he was trying to disrupt our promotion bid. God knows why.
  15. plus 1
  16. No way would HMRC support this proposal.
  17. Mrs Tame says that I am obsessed but I find that I look at the table 4 times a day. (She BTW now knows another Saints player to add to her knowledge of MLT and "that tall lanky one"- Adam Milana) Early in the morning sets up the day nicely. A couple of times during the day sees me get through work OK and then one more check before bedtime to make sure that we are still top. Tonight of course, the table will change after Wham play. That may upset the routine a little.
  18. We were far too good for the Championship in 2005. We would walk that league
  19. Come on Dalek. You can do a lot better than that. (hint) Does the number 17 mean anything to you?
  20. The fact of the matter is that Pompey don't seem to have a clue how to bring on their young talent. They are so concerned with paying big wages to "star" names that they have no idea how to develop their own. The folly of their policy towards their youth team is summed up by the examples of Matt Ritchie and Marlon Pack. At the recent Football League awards Matt Ritchie from Swindon won the League 2 award . He is 22 years old. Marlon Pack from Cheltenham was nominated for the League 2 player. He is 20. Both were academy players with Pompey before being released. Pack played just 1 game for them. Ritchie played 7 games for the first team. Both of these youngsters must have talent to have picked up these accolades. Most clubs tend to encourage youth to develop. Did these two get this chance at Pompey ? Would they have been cheaper than some of the "super stars" they have recently acquired ? Could they have done a worse job on the field ? The strange Pompey mindset of "sod the youth, lets play 30 plus has beens on big money " meant that they had to go elsewhere to develop. Next season Ritchie will be in the same division as Pompey (provided they last that long!) Apparently Swindon even rejected a £500k bid for him earlier this season. £500k would surely have been most handy now for Pompey whilst they wait for the £20 million from Tescos that Ho told us about !! It makes you wonder what would have happened if Skate Chamberlain had encouraged his son Alex to go to Pompey instead of us. I guess that he would have been kept out of the first team by Liam Lawrence!!
  21. Apparently we are 1 /6 (six to one on) with Betfred to get promoted. To non gamblers that means a pretty nailed on certainty. I feel confident of promotion .... but not 1/6 confident! The same bookie has us evens for the title.
  22. I was looking for my Jack Russell on sand dunes at a beach in Wales. He had the scent of rabbits and had gone awol. The plan had been for a quick walk to be back in time to follow the match on Saints Player. Returned with the dog to hear we had won 3-2. Didn't know what the fuss was about!
  23. I got 14/1 after the Leeds game. My stake came from getting the Leeds 3-1 scoreline correct ...so I am playing with their money - not mine!
