  1. You asked for an example of a prayer which had no impact on a third party. I gave you such an example. You have absolutely no argument against what I have said so have responded with utter nonsense. Sometimes one just has to "I'm wrong". Give it a try.
  2. You miss my point.. How would it effect you, ie where is the harm?
  3. Example. I could pray that you develop an ability to understand other people's opinions. It may help me knowing I've tried to help you. Tell me how my doing that without your knowledge impacts you.
  4. 1 and 2. if I do anything that has zero impact on anoyone else then it's not an issue.
  5. Not at all. If I'm comforted by prayer, explain how that impacts on you. It's pretty clear from what I've said that what I or anyone else feels about prayer, God , religion (3 separate matters which you refuse to separate) is a personal matter. In shorr, my beliefs have feck all to do with you.
  6. Comfort is a subjective feeling. Literally nobody other than me knows if I feel it. The deeper you dig, the more moronic you become.

Thanks, very interesting and helpful to see how we've obviously been failed by the government laid out so clearly.
  8. Apparently it impacts him if you do. He can't explain why though.
  9. Oh the irony.
  10. If you want to debate mate, you have be willing to answer questions even when the answer fecks your argument. If prayer by person a for peace for person b gives comfort / peace to person a, you know full well that it causes you no harm. Sure, it may well be misguided in your opinion, but it has feck all to do with you and/or causes you know no prejudice.
  11. If never looked at it that way, but it makes sense.

Really sorry to hear that. Thoughts are with you and your wife.
  13. I won't ask for a 7th time. I'll drawer an inference from your persistent refusal to answer as an acknowledgement that someones prayer for someone else to have peace, does not impact upon you. When you an argument to the contrary, come and explain.
  14. Absolutely. It's lockdown lite. The wetness was highlighted by the Boris situation. Rather than being told he's OK and a precaution, we should have been told that he's in a bad way and at extra risk cos he's a fat bastard. May have stopped a few people going out for their "essential" cake or ice cream.
  15. Just focus on the prayer being for peace for others. No mind changing. Just peace. 6th time : Q. How does my neighbour, praying only for peace of others (not asking for God to change anyone's mind), impact on you or anyone? When you have the grace to accept that it doesn't, then please explain why you have any right to challenge or police what she believes and her private right to prayer
  16. We will end up with the worst death count in Europe. See this post, and check out the IHME article it refers to. The downplaying of it in this country and the attempts at positivity gives the wrong message. Our government have been inept and wet. The only message that should have been given pre bank holiday weekend was that our death curve is going up not down, and that's down to the idiots carrying on as normal, that'll it get worse if they carry on, and that the lockdown lite will turn into lockdown plus if they don't sort themselves out this weekend.
  17. Deary me. Just read back at your various comments / questions on this thread, and then re read what you've just written.
  18. MLG, for about the 5th time : Q. How does my neighbour, praying only for peace of others (not asking for God to change anyone's mind), impact on you or anyone? When you have the grace to accept that it doesn't, then please explain why you have any right to challenge or police what she believes and her private right to prayer
  19. Many. The assumptions are based on your posts. And no, don't ask me to quote them, I have better things to do. But briefly, your comments appear to show that you assume that people pray for themselves, for god to change people's minds, that they pray to one particular god, that people who pray subscribe to religion etc etc. If you don't have those assumptions, then I have no idea why you're like a dog with a bone on this subject.
  20. You're completely swerving this, again. Answer a really, really simple and direct question. Answer it with an answer, not a deflecting question. Q. How does my neighbour, praying only for peace of others (not asking for God to change anyone's mind), impact on you or anyone? When you have the grace to accept that it doesn't, then please explain why you have any right to challenge or police what she believes and her private right to prayer.
  21. Mate, you are full of assumptions and your challenges are based largely on those. You assume that people pray for themselves. Most people pray only for others. My neighbour, praying only for peace of others, does not impact on you or anyone. If I'm wrong, explain, and tell me why you have any right to challenge or police what she believes and her private right to prayer.
  22. Try separating prayer, God and religion. 3 different things. Many people who pray don't believe in the god that you seem to assume they believe in, and many who believe in god/a god, don't follow an organised religion. Once you have done that answer my question from a while back and explain how my non religious neighbour praying to her conception of God asking for others to have peace, has any impact on you and/or why you feel that you have any right to challenge her thoughts and actions.
  23. Nonsense. Nobody is beholden to the personal opinions and choices of others re a) prayer, or b) God, or c) religion. We're beholden only to our own beliefs. Everything else is a matter of personal choice - what I choose to believe has nothing to do with anyone else so why should anyone have a right to challenge it? Sure, they may regard those beliefs as nonsense as you put it, but I didn't realise that we live in a world where everyone is a thought police officer to everyone elses personal/private beliefs.
  24. I forgot bosch. Saw a few and liked it. Will give it another go. And yes, a lot of rubbish on all channels sadly. That nazi thing was dreadful, not sure what they were thinking of with that.
