  1. The name wasn't given, but that would be my guess as he left Leeds to go back to Arsenal. Either way, Adams is here for the foreseeable at least and hopefully he'll come good.
  2. Blimey, that puts transfer fees and expectations in perspective. Thank you for the summary.
  3. I have it on good authority that the intention was to sell and bring in a lad from Arsenal. I've not had an update but the young strikers at Arsenal are getting game time. It's only a guess, but I reckon that the replacement didn't come off so he's staying, at least for now.
  4. Sentence
  5. Then keeping Cedric until the summer makes perfect sense.
  6. Crazy if true. He's been very good this season, and KWP coming in to cover only makes sense if he has someone to cover. One in and one out is daft with Valery out.
  7. "Agenda". Behave. If you ever got to a saints game pal you'd have seen a player who made little or no effort more often than not. My opinion on him is based primarily on that, and the obvious fact that he's wasting a huge talent. Do you disagree with that also? The insta thing is very much secondary, but the fact that he comes across as an ego driven helmet doesn't improve my opinion of him.
  8. Behave. You only have to see the bloke on the pitch to see that he has all the talent in the world but more often than not can't be arsed. Whether that is down to ego or something else is another matter, but his "look at me" insta is all about ego.
  9. I think you misunderstand. Osvaldo was a nutter. Lemina isn't. Both are/were talented and had moments of brilliance, but both lacked application and are/were ego driven.
  10. Whilst he's not looked great when I've seen him, if this is a loan with an option, it gives us cover on both sides. It also frees JWP up to stay in the middle where he's most effective. If he's another Danso, then we aren't committed. If he proves himself, we have a winner. Not the worst bit of business.
  11. The Osvaldo comparison was based on his application and ego. I'm not sure anyone has suggested he's a nutter.
  12. Agree with all of that. In patches he's looked brilliant, and could have been a massive player for us. Instead he was a helmet, and that performance in the fa cup semi was spectacularly bad. Bin him off and move on.
  13. If you think he's as sensible a punt as Bertrand was when we signed him then I'd suggest a hobby other than football.
  14. Comparing KWP at this stage of his career to Bertrand when we signed him - an established PL player, champions league (final) player and international player - is a bit of a stretch.
  15. He looks a very good player.
  16. What he's doing now isn't the point - he didn't leave us for a bigger job at Bayern. He had to leave and subsequently took up a lesser role at Bayern.
  17. He's done the football equivalent of going from being an assistant manager in tescos to stacking shelves in waitrose. Posher shop, but worse job.
  18. We need a RB to replace Cedric, but if our best option this window is KWP I'd rather we didn't bother. Would you rather sign him, or bide our time and get someone better in the window but perhaps cover with a loan in the interim? It's the latter for me. Re the principle of perm signings now whilst we have a bloated squad, I'd rather clear dead wood first before committing to purchases. It's the obvious thing to do, and personally, I'm glad the club seem intent in doing it that way.
  19. I'm not sure what to make of you. You post some truths, some stuff that sounds plausible, and re Adams info which is wrong. Do you have a source or are you briefed?
  20. Yeah but loans come back and are still our problem, and will undoubtedly be loss making. We can't keep bringing players in without getting some kind of fee for those under contract but of no use to us. The mess is the decision to sign so much rubbish, but the fact is that we have, so the club has to be realistic and commercial. That's gotta mean a bit of loaning out and loaning in until deadwood is either out of contract or sold. It's far from ideal but it's where we are sadly.
  21. I reckon that's the issue. I don't read that tweet to necessarily mean that we need the loan fee, rather that we want to move one first teamer out before bringing another in. Given the crap we have on our books, I'm happy with that. Not sure how I feel about KWP though, he's not impressed me when I've seen him but we need a right back.
  22. Unless I've misunderstood, Rohl went from being assistant manager at saints to a behind the scenes analysis role at bayern. If that is the case he's taken a backwards step. If I've misunderstood I stand corrected. Either way, Kitzbichler has joined, and based on recent performances our coaching team is no worse this season than it was when Rohl was here.
  23. Then we've heard similar. Rohl's role at Bayern is very much a backwards step from his position here. That fits with rebuilding his career / reputation rather than leaving us for bigger things.
  24. Thank you Hypo. Interesting stuff and the senior staff point ties in with certain commercial matters and documents from the club that I know of. I have to be vague, but there are issues for sure. On Rohl, I'd understood that his leaving was not his decision, and that the bayern job came along after the decision was made for him to leave. Was your source certain that his leaving was his choice?
  25. Coach
