Protecting the brand and The Southampton Way .

Anything is better than this guy, even just sacking him will give the fan base a boost. There's no justifiable reason for keeping him what so ever.
-
This has got a cup upset written all over it.
-
I'd imagine he's still sat there there believing the same. They're probably still targetting 8th.
-
Gross negligence imo. Whatever happens, plenty of heads should roll in the summer. So many people have failed at their jobs throughout the club. (Maybe not the commercial people though, we got ourselves on a TV ad after all. ) This has so many similar traits to the Lowe regime that it’s scary. All too worried about non-football matters and the brand, and given that it’s a football club they’re managing, that’s a bit dumb.

Driver was a bit of a **** as well, seemed excited that he'd spat over his daughter. Wonder who Sky will get to replace him now?
-
Just sacking him will be enough to galvanise the fanbase. That's no excuse. There are mangers out there who would jump at this chance, no doubts about it.

TBF that was a freak season where we finished above Chelsea and Liverpool, and Leicester won the league. Ourselves and Leicester profited from the big teams drifting, Leicester more so obviously, but after that year all of the top sides got their houses in order almost in unison and now we're back to the huge gulf between the rest.
-
He's clearly sitting back and letting the people who 'are here' make the calls, so this is all in Reed's and Krugers court. There will be money to terminate his contract. If there isn't, then there should be an enquiry as to where the **** it has gone.

Anyone advocating tossing urine at another human being isn't right in the head.

If we sack Pellegrino we can still survive

Surely you just have to gamble. This is the last chance, we have a window to do it now. I think even getting rid of him and not having a replacement will still galvanise the fan base, which at the very least is a positive. There is simply no feasable benifit I can see for keeping him. Maybe we simply cannot afford to sack him because we're paying him stupid money. Stranger things have happened, like Fraser Forster being offered two 5 year contracts in the space of 12 months. -
To be honest I did expect him to offer a bit more physically.
-
Sounds a bit in jest to me to be honest, but a pretty realstic tone for what is going on at the club it has to be said.
-
Still of the belief that we've been sold a machine without the power. He needs pace and trickery in and around him - close to him. We missed the oppertunity to sort that in January, so he was always going to be a bit of a blunt signing. We signed half of what we needed, basically. (Although some may correctly argue that we neglected the CB area too)

Bit of a dumb arse move from the WHU fans to be honest, shows them up as a pretty classless club. Not sure why there are people on here lauding their actions and willing us to do the same. Because that's going to help.

Way back in September or October/Novemberish when people were calling for his head, I was concious that we would end up going down the Sunderland route of constantly changing managers but ignoring the main issue. I incorrectly assumed that the club were aware of the issues and prepared to address them in January, but MP himself has now had more than enough time to make us competitive in what is a very poor league, but has been hindered by poor recuritment and the clubs cluelessness to the bigger issues I'd have to say. I think I gave him a fair crack of the whip, but enough is enough tbh. So I'm not sure what is funny about that.

Gross negligence.

Surely it's how you interpret adrift. If we're in the bottom 3 and 17th place is a couple of points ahead, then you are technically what I'd call adrift in 18th.
-
I don't think he's a bad player, but let's not make out he's the messiah, yeah I agree he was chopped and changed a lot (not just by MP either)...but he never really delivered what we need. I know fans will love him because he talks the talk, but he kind of sums up the state of our midfield. Nice, sideways, tippy tappy, no punch.
-
Doubt it. I think the worse that will happen is a fine for failing to control the crowd and maybe if the FA are feeling quite strong, a behind closed doors game. But I can't see any points being deducted, the PL/FA try to avoid that.
-
He said something similar a few weeks back, about how it's exciting being in this battle. It's such a weird situation, we're acting like a club who have just been promoted and are still in with a shout. What on earth are the club seeing that we're not.
-
Got a sneaky feeling Stoke will do Man City tomorrow. Then both Palace and Stoke have got Everton and Huddersfield on the FA Cup Semi weekend. We'll be in the bottom 3 by the WHU game, probably adrift by at least a couple of points - unless the gods are really smiling on us.
-
Pieree is a great talker, says all the right things and seems to have the right attitude but his product on the pitch ever since he's joined us has been absolutley dog****e. He's had long enough to get used to this league now.
-
We'll be adrift by the time this comes around. WHU will be desperate for a reaction. Pretty straight forward for them I'd have thought. (Unless by some miracle the club try to spark a reaction by actually doing something)
