Given that his prime purpose is to help us in that area, then he failed. Looks like bambi on ice out there sometimes. Another incredibly slow player to add to our incredibly slow team.
-
Speak for yourself, it wouldn't ignite anything in me other than a big fat ''meh''.
-
He's still better than Pellegrino.
-
for 2 years we have been diabolical at home, truly depressing to watch. You can pin it down to Koeman, but I pin it on our inability to correctly replace Mane or inject some pace into this side.
-
Anyone would be better, let's not kid ourselves.
-
It wouldn't be a debate if we were at least showing an effort or had some actual direction, but we don't and haven't got a direction. It has been 2 seasons of absolute dog **** at home, I can only count two games in 2 years which have been worth watching. Leicester City last season and Everton this season. That's it.
-
I doubt they'll give a ****, they've earned a nice enough pocket.
-
With Carilllo I find it hard to really criticise him, as it's like we've bought a lamp shade without the bulb. We got it half right, but he needed pace and life around him to be effective. Thus we didn't, so he will look like a bit of an oaf. Congratulations to the recruitment morons. I could have done a better job.
-
Tadic slows us down, I'd play Long in his place and play him wide off of Carillo. It's the best we're going to get, then if we can get ourselves out of the **** we can fix it in the summer. But you are right, we need to move the ball quicker. We seem desperate to just have a high passing count, which must have been very high today. Not that it really matters when probably 60% of those passes are between DM, CB's and GK. There's a lot of dross in this league, of which we are included, so that and the fact we have a few away games against 'said' dross is a slim glimmer I will try to cling to.

Nothing will be confirmed until the final day. We're quite lucky that we're at home to City. Doddle.
-
The other plus for me is that we're Away a lot, there's no advantage to us playing at home. We're much better away, well slightly less **** is a better way of putting it. Slim positives to cling to.

To play that way you need pace. We don't have pace. That's why we go backwards and sideways. A front 3 of Tadic, JWP and Carillo is as slow as you'll get. Combine that with a midfield with Romeu and Hoj. Slow, pedestrian, ponderous football. Swansea have pace with the two Ayews (Jordan in particular in the Liverpool game). It's not rocket science and the club needed to fix it in January, but they didn't as they're incompetent.

Hopefully they force him out.

What a waste of my afternoon. This team looks dead, devoid of life, spark, creativity, energy, desire. Just nothing. A bunch of players passing the ball between each other and offering nothing else. The makeup of the side has been wrong for 2 seasons, I feel like a broken record saying it. Absolutely no pace in the midfield or attack, it's impossible to cause anyone problems without pace in this day and age. I don't know what our recruitment team are thinking. I wanted to see fight and some life from us, but we were dead rubber today. Truly horrific. Easiest game for Liverpool, ever. As deflated as I've been all year at this moment in time. Heads should roll at the club in all levels for the catastrophic 12 months we've bad, mismanagement at its finest.
-
We're not where we are because we lost to Liverpool, we're where we are because we haven't beaten Brighton, Huddersfield, Stoke, Palace, Burnley, Leicester. The bloke should have gone in Dec, but as long as the club keep making money from fancy ingame adverts, then everything is fine I'd have thought.
-
It's only a cut to his knee apparently, nothing major.
-
We don't need another central midfielder.
-
Really got to win this today I think. Swansea/Borunemouth have managed to beat the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks, which has turned around both fo their seasons. We cannot have a 'brave' defeat today. Minimum a draw, win is needed though. Defeat disasterous.
-
Not an awful set of results.
-
He came from Bury's acadamy, he was with us for a short period in L1 on a loan deal from Oldham. Don't think he's been with us apart from that.
-
And so is the young hotshot Matt Mills.... and Dexter Blackstock! Man I feel old.
-
Of course....Drew Surman as well for Bmouth. And Callum Chambers..... that must be it?
-
Yeah, Sims came on right at the end in the 2-2 v Watford. I'd go... Sims McQueen Targett Ward-Prowse Shaw Lallana Theo Walcott Alex Chamberlain Nathan Dyer Martin Craine (he's in Huddersfields Squad, but loaned out atm I think) Obafemi Probably missing a couple of obvious ones...

Best we could have got in the Championship, good player. Not up to it at PL level though, not everyone can make the step up. Didn't his one goal come against Arsenal in the 6-1..?
