  1. And if you have the right players to play it. We did when we had Pelle up top, with Mane and co close to him.
  2. Didn't we give that up for some extra dosh back in our admin days? I'm sure we did the same with Bale....
  3. Amazingly good post.
  4. Absolutley prolific. Around 30 goals a season for the 2 seasons prior to joining us.
  5. Who is Diego Sanchez?

    Sam McQueen

Didn't see the issue with McQueen dropping out on Tuesday. If Bertrand is fit, first name there - no questions. With their attack of Zaha and Townsend we needed to make sure we had pace at full back, which McQueen doesn't have. I was surprised to not even see him on the bench though.
  7. I think he cost about 35-36m. He's this years 'Steve Sidwell' or 'Scott Parker' signing for them. He'll be out of there in another year or so I'd have thought.
  8. Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has reached an agreement in principle to join Juventus in the summer
  9. Chelsea have agreed to sign Barkley for £15m from Everton.
  10. No idea to be honest, not seen anything of Carillo. I wouldn't be against bringing Gallagher back though as an option, although it does seem as if he's found his feet. He's certainly a leading player in that league, so will be great for us next year.
  11. Well, at least we're looking at players with the attributes we need. He's a big pressence this lad. About 6.3 going by his transfer market page, similar stature to that of Pelle.
  12. Two amazing goals tbh.
  13. Don't like this comment. What does it mean? “For me it’s great. Even Les Reed has been working as a manager. "
  14. He's a bit of a hot head is Jokanovic, but apparently the whispers are that Fulham aren't too happy with the season so far, and clearly he's saying they're not supporting him in transfers......so what do they want etc. Interesting! Good manager though, but a bit mental.
  15. I thought he'd already gone to Sporting.
  16. Walcott wouldn't be a bad addition for us at all, but what worries me is that I can see this dragging on for the next few weeks, I just hope he isn't our sole focus just because he's a former player and would create a bit of a PR Win. We've got Watford, West Brom and Brighton coming up over the next few weeks. These need to be 9 points. We need the best possible squad in place for those games. Let's not do what we did last January with the CB situation, which was nothing short of a farce.
  17. There was a diagram/plan posted on here a few weeks back, it's some sort of 10 year plan to make us Champions League Ready. But it wasn't anything to do with capacity or the surrounding area, it was adding more hospitality/refurbishing the hospitality area's. Nothing the vast majority of us will notice.
  18. He doesn't help himself with the way he speaks, just typical management waffle from a yank. But as has been alluded to above, one thing I think we can be slightly reassured by is that they haven't come in and tried to make brash statements - like the Veny's, Cardiff's owners, Brums owners etc. That's one of the small positives I can take from this whole charade so far. Will be interesting to hear in Feburary, given where we will likey be in the league, those 'Pledges' may change.

Drainage failed. Coudln't have failed at a worse time what with the weather. But yeah, conditions were as bad as I've seen them.
  20. That was a short lived thing I think. There was a temporary outdoors one setup next to 'Watermark West Quay' over christmas, pretty popular by all accounts.
  21. Where's that from out of interest?
  22. TBF Everton haven't completley come out of their crisis yet. Their fans are already calling for BFS out, not joking either.
  23. If the players show effort and start winning games and creating entertainment, the atmosphere will follow. It's a two way thing really. I'm not going to be shouting my support for Tadic whilst he is rolling around the floor holding his broken fingernail after he's passed it sideways for the 5002352052th time. If the players show effort worthy of being supported, then they'll be supported. As long as they keep putting in these disjointed half arsed backwards-sideways displays then the stadium isn't going to get behind them. It's not like we're Huddersfield, being that we have 20 points is an amazing achievement thus far. We have amazingly under-preformed in all area's so there really isn't anything to encourage us as fans. There are certain players who are not playing at their level and need to have a long hard long at themselves before they get prolonged support. There were attempts last night to create a decent atmosphere, but when you see the crap which was served up in the 2nd half you do start to wonder what's the point?
  24. We had such a straight forward start to the season, that's where we needed to accumulate our points to give us a cushion during our normal winter slumber. We didn't, and thus we are now in for a long 2nd half of the season where we will somehow need to perform better and get more points from a tough set of games. It's very worrying.
  25. To a certain extent, but I do think we have a team full of crabs in midfield. Sideways, backwards, no risk takers.
