WBA are missing Krychowiak, Evans, Gibbs and Jay (who has a slight knock apparently). With our team and the players they are missing, this is as clear an oppertunity as we're going to get for the remainder of the season.

Wenger - money is removing competition from football
S-Clarke replied to Saint-Fred's topic in The Saints
Stupid senile Wenger. -
Given that I believe you are 'very close' to Sam McQueen, then this is pretty telling now. Maybe they don't 'hate him', but he's certainly not inspiring anyone right now. (or ever has)
-
Any manager with an ounce of confidence in their own ability would look at our squad and say ''Yeah, I can do better with that''. I don't think we're as unattractive to people like Silva/Bilic as people are saying, I think they'd jump at the offer personally.
-
I honestly can't work out what he's on about in a lot of his 'snippets'. Just weird waffle.
-
You know what's going to happen now, we're going to be pummelled by WBA for 90mins and we somehow sneak a 90th min OG to win it...
-
Davis shouldn't even be near the bench to be honest. Legs have totally gone now. I expect us to renew his contract soon.

I imagine they're having a chat regarding our forthcoming visit to China in pre-season.

But didn't Wigley even have a better % than MP...?

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment
S-Clarke replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
He's had a nightmare, should have gone to rangers. -
To be honest mate, me and my dog would be better.
-
Given the fact that the 1 and only signing we were able to make was a former MP player, you're probably right.
-
The thing with Silva is that he's proven to be an impact manager where he's been, he gets his methods over quickly and has an instant impact. That's really what we need. Think about the long-term in the summer, need to get ourselves out of this mess somehow first.
-
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but did anyone notice the fans being held down by stewards last night? Given that they were in the dug out, I assume they were trying to 'get at' MP. Not the way to go about anything, but what must he think when people physically want to confront him. It's not worth that surely. Maybe he needs to do the honourable thing.

When would you have pulled the trigger on Pellegrino?
S-Clarke replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Yeah that was a shocker, then we turned up and beat Sevilla in the following friendly. The 0-2 to Wolves was a stinker though, given that it was in fact the reserves Wolves team. That did ring a couple of alarm bells for me. -
I've been at the games all season and it's been ****. Poor for the first half, but why? Why did we start that way? This isn't a new thing either. 2nd half had a bit more huff-and-puff, but we still lacked any real attacking intent. How many saves did we force the keeper into making? Keeping the ball and bossing possession between the defence and the midfield does not equal points, someone needs to tell the club that.

Fair enough. To be honest I think they're too busy writing the pledges and promoting the academy in China. The actual football team is small fry now.
-
Appreciate the work you put into keeping this up to date, but given how poor we were last year, it's utterly unfathomable how we are so much worse this time round. Not even a little bit worse, a whole new level of ****. What a disaster. There's not going to be a case of us ever being 'safe' until the final game of the season, we're in a battle for the duration now without doubts.
-
How many final chances does he need? So many decent games tossed away. Should have made the call before Christmas in my opinion, that Puel-reunion match was a disaster. Since then we've failed to beat Hudderfield, lost to Palce at home, threw away a win at Watford and failed to beat Brighton. So 3 points from really what 'should' have been at least 8-12, which would put us near 30ish pots, if we had a competent manager in charge. Still big problems with the side of course, but somehow he's making it worse.
-
I wonder what it will take to get him sacked? Maybe he's on 100,000 p/w or something stupid and we can't afford the compo. That's the only reason I can think of. No idea.

The makeup of the squad is poor, I'll give you that. There are good players in the side, but the makeup is wrong so it's near on impossible to form a cohesive unit. This is the reason we’ve had two managers who keep chopping and changing the side. We have too many of the same types all over the pitch, especially in midfield. All our midfielders know how to do is retain the ball sideways and backwards. We've got a very talented player in Boufal and equally Tadic who are not going to excel in a side which has no power or strength down the spine. I have no idea what he was meant to do when he came on yesterday, he was so deep it was ridiculous. We've basically lost a spine of Pelle/Lambert, Morgan/Wanyama, Fonte/VVD/Toby and replaced them with quite ‘slight’ talented technical footballers. Not particularly strong, not nasty in nature. Just nice. Not going to get anywhere with that as your makeup, no matter how talented certain individuals are. Congratulations to the recruitment team is in order I think.

This is the thing, we have the manager, the players and probably the club behind the scenes with this attitude. ''Oh well, we've still got plenty of time left. Everything can change in a few weeks!" - yeah, it can, if you don't have the same person making the same ****ing mistakes every.flaming.week. If he mentions that we're 'growing' one more time I will scream.
