  1. Coventry support was impressive as well, reminded me of some of our away followings when coming back through the leagues
  2. He was good and saved us at times,.makes you wonder why he'd been a free agent for so long, looked up for it
  3. Pleaded to get through and avoid the banana skin but starting line up was a mess , first half poor you could tell Coventry were a well organised team used to playing together whereas we were sloppy and disjointed. Small was particularly poor , shame as was looking forward to seeing him play, big lad for a left back, Walcott is finished offers nothing now is he out of contract soon? Much better 2nd half , brilliant goal by Armstrong. Fingers crossed for a good draw this morning
  4. Looked like a kick to the knee / upper thigh from where I was sat in Kingsland , get some ice on it and a couple of days rest

United have got away with charging full price for cup games for years as a) it's often a big day out for the away team who just pay it and b) for big cup semi finals or finals they give priority to season ticket holders who attended every home cup game, it means they have to all buy to have a chance of a final ticket. That said a few years without any finals they might not get away with that approach. Great win for Boro, suppose its too much to hope Plymouth or Fulham will get a shock win today?
  6. How strange is that , block of about 75 seats suddenly available night before the match, makes you wonder why they were held back

    2021/22 Kit

You couldn't buy that one either! Only Saints would manage to wear a shirt in a cup final that the fans couldn't buy. This one looks good so seems a bit harsh to only make 500 (in which sizes? kids?) And charge £99, ok raises some money as "profit" goes to the foundation but won't be that much in grand scheme of things, better to make thousands of them at normal price and club give a tenner from each one to charity.
  8. Did you go to the King Alfred when St Mary's first opened they had topless barmaids upstairs, those were the days
  9. I walked past the Rockstone before the Villa game and it looked quite busy but that was a Friday night, had been to the 5 rivers bar to meet someone - that place is really good if you want to watch sport and like a bit of Indian food was top notch.
  10. Got a feeling Djenepo and Livramento will play, Tella injured and Stu Armstrong never seems to play 3 games in a week so if he plays this will sit out Spurs back for Man Utd, their centre forward Gyokeres looks physical , Stephens and Salisu won't mind that probably not Lyanco after watching him against McBurnie
  11. Haven't been there for ages but do like the Belgian and Blues, reminds me of a continental bar , still call it Goblets. Stopped in the Cricketers near Bedford place a couple of times, still a top pub in there hasn't really changed since the Dell days. Tried the new Painted Wagon after a game recently, was impressed felt like a proper football pub and the memorabilia was a nice touch. Not done it for a while but Bugle St not bad to do a pre match crawl Juniper Berry, Titanic, The Wellington (best one of the three) or start at the wool House dancing man and move up the street.
  12. Cheers a mate of mine just got a couple, a few still on there, bit odd not sure if people returning tickets, have to go a long way round on the website to find them
  13. I remember that one, 10 years ago freezing cold 3rd round game, JWP first goal for us? Remember going up there in the early 90s for a cup game and getting a replay, good result in those days tough place to go big Steve Ogrizovic in goal for them. I quite like the fact our club record attendance is against a team like Coventry rather than a Man Utd or Liverpool.
  14. It does seem a long time, Spurs at home 2020? I've seen Saints go to penalties away at Sheffield United this season and Swansea took us to extra time , both of those sides are below Coventry in the league so wouldn't be surprised if this one goes to extra time as well.
  15. Fair point, we could be like 3rd tier Palace making the semis
  16. If we beat Ipswich it's the 1/4 finals? That would be a brilliant achievement for a team in 3rd tier , surely they'll have no chance if we draw a top tier side
  17. I think I recall Coventry at home in 2012 is our record highest attendance, I'd assumed that was due to our promotion that day but this cup game selling out shows the demand to watch Coventry City is still strong.
  18. Whole stadium
  19. We have to give them 15% in the fa cup which is 4800, they've only got a few hundred more than that, I think they've kept quite a bit for segregation as Northam must hold more than 5132.
  20. I think we might be underestimating Cov if we go with that line up, too many liabilities to carry , will Valery be given another chance after his red card at Swansea? Walcott concerns me. Suppose we have 9 on the bench and can bring 5 on so can make changes early on if needed. Full house for the game should be decent atmosphere.
  21. Just catching up on this, does the window close 11pm on 31st? Anyone ITK suggesting we're going to buy / sell anyone?
  22. Hopefully they see sense, it's a joke that the last train back from Southampton is 10pm as well, makes night games very tricky for the many fans who travel down. Now home working has ended and commuters are returning you'd have thought trains would return to normal timetables, I remember when the last train back from Waterloo was 1.05am. Still tickets available for Spurs by the way, "strictly seated only" block that you can only buy if you call up, not sure if they are doing that as rest of away section is "safe standing"
  23. FA Cup game at St Mary's tomorrow v Bristol City, should be a decent crowd for the ladies and anyone who is a fan of TGI Fridays can get a free meal as well

Correct. Full round of Asia and South America qualifiers, catching up on cancelled games to complete qualifying in time for the World Cup. It does allow teams who are out of the FA Cup to have quite a long break.
  25. Agree they must have run out after 5 and scrapping the barrell with that one. How much will Fratton hold after that? Doesn't seem worth it. Fulham will be good, an increased capacity should also mean a bigger allocation for us when they come up next season
