  1. Can someone infect this c$nts laptop with a virus to stop him posting, it's beyond tedious and he clearly isn't a saints fan.

    Out sung again

I think one of the reasons for lack of atmosphere at Saints games now is we lack many matches that have an 'edge' . In the past we went through a spell of playing the Skates but also games like promotion battles with Brighton / Reading, teams like Bristol City would see us as a big tie and bring a lively following to us and make it intimidating at their place. Everything just seems a bit to nice and cosy now, no other teams really see us a big game Back in the Dell days the atmosphere would only really get going in the relegation battles or a big cup night. As someone else has pointed out a number of songs in our promotion years were based around us going up / pompey going down or popular players that no longer play for us.
  3. This mornings paper mentions Shaw is expected to be out for 6 to 9 months , doesn't sound that long really compared to Rodriguez and Forster.
  4. With Virgil at the back i'm not sure we need to Ward-Prowse distribution, he seemed capable of pinging the ball around and was looking for the full backs making runs. i'm surprised this game hasn't sold out yet - have seen it mentioned that Season ticket holders cannot buy additional tickets which may explain that partly. I can't see there being many games this season when the season ticket buy back option will be available.
  5. really enjoyed watching that, top man and one of my favourite eras supporting Saints. Great memories and well deserved recognition for Adkins.
  6. Looking online this game is almost sold out (interesting for some away games now you can select your specific seat), so we should sell out today (which is first day of sales i think to season ticket holders with 2+ away games ) i think if we had taken 2900 (if that is the full allocation) then we would have sold it , 5.30 Saturday away day in London will always be popular.
  7. that's not completely true, fans have been protesting with more than just their feet, banners in the grounds is not a great look for the image , TV companies want to see full stadiums with loud atmospheres being broadcast throughout the world, it is part of what makes English football so attractive. the work done so far has resulted in iniatives such as away fans fund where each Premier league club is given £200k i think to be used in promoting away support, most of the time this is by reducing prices (Norwich took £10 off per ticket when they came here, Man Utd are also doing the same reducing prices for every away game). Some clubs go further adding to the fund - Stoke offer free coaches to every away match, Swansea are subsidising every away ticket , so to some extent voices are being heard and it has to be for the good of the game. Away attendances have been in decline so i am in favour of anything that can result in more people being able to afford it and higher away attendances at games. The fairest way to implementing this is reduced prices rather than travel, especially for a club like us with a wide catchment area in mileage terms.
  8. "I am happy that Germany has become a country that many people outside of Germany now associate with hope. This is something to cherish when you look back at our history" A direct quote there from Angela Merkel speaking yesterday. And there we have it, a guilt conscience cleansing exercise by Germany to right some of their wrongs , an expensive PR project.
  9. Spot on post, well said. Germany seem determined to advertsise Europe as open and welcoming - no doubt partly due to the fact they caused millions of refugees themselves 70 years ago. we don't have to go along with this and should't do.
  10. has to be a wind up post? we pay extortionate prices to watch football, some tickets at St Mary's are £50+ now - Mr Wanyama picks up 100% of his very healthy pay packet so i think it is fair to say he owes us 100% effort - which he has not been giving. He needs to make a statement apologising to the club / fans before coming back.
  11. Good news they must've just sold out as they were still available at the end of last week. Decent support taking 2750 up there. Looking forward to this one should have a chance of getting something there hope all our players come back fit from international duty and they have an unsettled side with Berainho refusing to play.
  12. You can get the train from Birmingham Moor St to The Hawthorns. Moor St is round the corner from New St so easiest option if changing there. This is a very easy away day to do by train
  13. Yeah good luck to Northern Ireland, will be very well deserved if you qualify, I've always liked Windsor Park hope the development doesn't change it too much, you create a cracking atmosphere full of passionate proud fans, a world away from the dismal modern Wembley experience full of day trippers sat in silence and the family centre using clappers banging them together. I'll support you lot in France next year.
  14. Disappointing, Swansea took the bigger allocation first game of the season (and subsidised tickets as well ) we'll sell out but difficult to make much noise, especially in the lower tier. Saturday 5.30 in London has potential to be a cracking drink up but not with 1400 tickets
  15. Clearly the economic migrants seizing the opportunity to by pass visa requirements and rush into western Europe are to blame in part in creating difficulties in helping true refugees . Help where possible should be provided to children but putting your kids in a boat at night from Turkey to Greece is not "fleeing war" they've already accomplished that leaving Syria. And Germany's righteous position is partly caused by the national guilt still hanging over them from creating so many refugees 70 years ago
  16. Yeah good plan. Aug 6th - Saints fans sang his name non stop for 20 mins in Arnhem probably loudest song of the match. Aug 30th Wanyama not in right frame of mind to play and wants to leave the club. I doubt he gives a f$ck what the fans think he's only got his mind on one thing - more dosh for his bank balance. I won't be cheering him, but felt the same about Schneiderlin after the sheer lack of respect he showed the club in his twitter tantrum.
  17. I think I read they have Afghanistan away after Cambodia , yes according to this next three away games Afghanistan, Syria and Iran. Slightly off topic but I might take up following Japan away some proper trips there. http://uk.soccerway.com/teams/japan/japan/1348/
  18. I've seen Facebook posts by 4 different Spurs fans I know over the last couple of days, all criticising Levy and most saying they expect to do worse this season than last with Europa league group stage kicking in soon lots of games with a weaker squad, will be interesting to see how they get on and how quickly the fans turn. Needless to say I hope they struggle, the way Levy goes about his business unsettling players trying to get them to force a move is terrible. Poch already complaining that Kane is tired will be ironic if he pics up a knock while away with England in San Marino
  19. We've already had one expensive wa*ker in Osvaldo and another of our highest earners Gaston Ramirez has been a tragic waste of a monthly wage, I'd sell the greedy spaghetti eating mercenary but definitely not to Spurs
  20. He's a Kenyan, a greedy Kenyan F*ck off Wanyama He's a Kenyan a greedy Kenyan F*ck off Wanyama. Let him rot training with the u18s if he's going to treat the club with such little respect
  21. i think where they have offered reduced pricing for their season ticket holders they have to do the same for ours, so would be £12 for season ticket holders. not too bad, journey is ok if get a decent run up the A34 then across , might appeal to a few more now we don't have any European adventures.
  22. Spurs and Liverpool will be pleased to only have one long trip each, i feel more gutted now seeing the draw would have loved to have seen us play some of those sides, had thought we were destined to play Atletic Bilbao. Irony is Spurs and Liverpool fans get so much European football they aren't that bothered about these.
  23. Norwich will be hoping we are like Sunderland who they benefited from in their last away game. For me our biggest issue is the complete change of game plan now we have full backs who can't attack and beat a man / cross. This gave us so many attacking options in the past and we miss them now. Bertrand is a strange one, he was part of the England squad at the end of the season then had a mystery knee operation at the start of July in the hope he would be back in 5-6 weeks (as reported at the time) , nearly 8 weeks on and i don't think there have been any sightings of him in training? Norwich haven't sold out their 2400 allocation despite subsidising tickets themselves by a tenner. Lots of ticket availability left, most of block 43 still on sale sent back by Norwich, Itchen / Northam corner and quite a few still in the Chapel. It is Family Day with kids activities outside, Sunday lunchtime kick off - all things point to a really flat atmosphere. Plus we have the SKY curse (if that still exists)
  24. I've just called the club, priority for this one will be given to those who have attended Vitesse and Midjytlland away , not expected to make it to general sale.
  25. Last year we roughly took; 1000 to Millwall 2 nd round 5900 to Arsenal 3rd round 2200 to Stoke 4th round 4200 to Sheffield United 1/4 final Our run of away draws continues, I can't see us taking many here but it is a few years since we played there (2010?) Will depend on if we're playing in Europa league on the Thursday before
